Thanks i knew i was being too naive with my aproach, then those passive converters that look like the picture i posted dont work on older keyboards right?. But since i saw that i wanted to check with you guys. So i think the four pin aproach is better too, two for usb and two for ps2, so you try to ...

I hope my question is not too intruding, but i think is related. Imagine you have 5 rows and 14 colums in your design ( more or less a normal keyboard ), you have to use either one of them as output and the other as imput, would´t that define the position of the diodes?? and the other question is mo...

:O, yes the enter key is giving me some headache too, but mine is the measurements and siwtch placement i´m not sure about, the stabilizer is kind of easy, the switch is facing left instead of down, and has one tab above and another below.

Well, i started my plate and kicad files, but i found a problem, wich stabilizers should i use for alps switches? my donor has them built in the plastic. i only find cherry ones and i don´t know if those would work, any advice?

I see, it even makes more sense to start from kicad, so you make your plate acording to your component layout, the good thing is now you can plot to dxf work on a mechanical cad ( in case you need more drawing tools ) and come back to check that still everything lines up.

I want to design the PCBs and not chase new data formats. :-) Did you guys use the development brach of kicad? they added a dxf importer in pcbnew, that makes really nice to import a plate and make the pcb to align with that plate. I just discovered a couple of days ago but it has some time now, i ...
