have you tried a cream board before, chyros? they are _quite_ nice and _quite_ expensive -- about the same as blue alps right now. hope you get a good deal given the work you do on your channel. I hope so too, I'm aching to review them! xD I have a few loose ones but not a board with them, so haven...

Yeah, I'm not sure how well those tubes would hold up over time, either. Might be a bit messy. Shouldn't be TERRIBLY dangerous though.

Use wire pullers. They are liable to stick to the keycaps when you pull those, even! Yeah, weird part is that I tried it and couldn't get them off at all. I pulled so hard I almost cut my fingers on the black plastic barrel and still couldn't get the slider to budge. I just ultrasoniced them whole....

And lets say that we do find an ICP and we find that it has some mixture of whatever chemical. How probable is it to discern the original chemical composition that resulted into that? Or even if we be able to find any existing lube that is close to it chemically? Somehow I doubt that we can do that...

Does anyone have any insights into the original lubricants used by Alps? The only info is a quote I have from a former Alps worker at the Milton Keynes factory. He told me "The lubricant used was a lubricant made to JIS spec (Japanese Industrial Spec) maybe containing some silicone". I'd investigat...
