My Zenith with Green Alps came with thick pbt dyesubs. There's another guy here with another Zenith that looks the same but it's yellow alps + doubleshots. edit : ibm box http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-IBM-Computer-Keyboard-Computer-Box-ONLY-16-x-9-x-3/252113530755?_trksid=p2047675.c100009.m1982&_...

Speaking of vintage appreciation. I was somewhat hesitant to post pictures of my Fame keyboard since I thought it might be seen as sacrilege the way I customized the board instead of just restoring it to its former appearance 1:1. I just like it so much, that I figured I'd never sell it anyway and d...

The Omnikey and DTK both sold for BIN price, I believe. If you go to sold listings they don't show that an offer was accepted. I don't know why, but sometimes on the auction page it will indicate best offer accepted even when you opt to buy it now. I noticed this on an item I once purchased. Sounds...

http://www.ebay.com/itm/DTK-SPK100-Datatech-Vintage-Mechanical-Keyboard-Clicky-Keys-/181915022107 Get it while it's hot, guys! Same seller. I've only seen one of these on the forums and their example had blue alps. I'd say there's a 90% chance this one does too. EDIT: Serial # is lower for the one o...

Northgate is gone! Let's see if it turns up around here! I wonder if it's going to be salvaged for its switches or if the buyer is going to enjoy it as is.

Wow, look at that pincushion distortion in that Omnikey photo! I hope twitchbot is enjoying the blue Alps board he got from me. Apparently he got an excellent deal on it. Yeah, all of the blue alps boards I've gotten, I've paid $100 for every time. The first because I was fed up with no one seeming...

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Northgate-OmniKey-102-Alps-Mechanical-Switch-Keyboard-Omni-Key-1989-/181915020371 There's potential for this to have blue alps, and if so, it's a great price considering the last guy I saw selling one with blue alps was trying to gouge $250. Intelli has mentioned that...

That Dell AT-101 is worth keeping and restoring! It's the nicer older version, not sure if I've ever seen one with an DIN connector. Nice. It seems like most of these, even the old Salmon Alps kind, tend to have PS/2 connectors. This one must be quite the old one! Ever find yourself in that moment where yo...

[ I need a set of them for my hasu 60% ALPS build. I did just manage to get a set of SGI Granite caps from a seller on Ebay, but I really like the AT101's font, and color better. You might get lucky, don't worry! I felt hopeless the other day when I was browsing eBay all day looking for a Dell that...

I prefer PBT mainly for the feel of it. PBT is dry to the touch. ABS feels clammy (to me). If you apply your finger to a PBT cap and drag your finger toward you, your finger will slide smoothly. When you do this maneuver on an ABS cap, you will get a "stuttering" effect with noticeable friction. Th...

Congrats E3E, you found the caps! What a coincidence that one just like that would pop up now! :D As for the whole yellowing debate, *shows off chemist badge*, this is the way it works :D . Nice big assed Alps doubleshots. Always gotta love it when a keyboard comes in its original box! Sorry for the confusion, I meant the PBT spacebar in this "Granite" PBT DSA set: http://keypuller.com/granite/ It's a masterpiece. Matteo's won awards for that amazing set. And we tend to just say "Gran...

Right, this is my Focus I'm talking about, look at the spacebar: http://deskthority.net/wiki/Focus_FK-2002 Trust me there is no trace of yellowing on there anywhere. Same Omnikey keycaps. ABS is exactly the stuff that yellows. Which is why I find the enthusiasm for this board odd. Shouldn't people be chasing after PBT dyesubs like usual? The Omni Key's caps are the right colour scheme to be PBT. But that yellowing makes me wonder. And other than the caps, what's any good about this ...

EDIT: I really dig that keyboard cover. With some retr0brite, it'd look very nice. If only it fit on an AEK, hahaha.

I noticed that DC-2014 earlier. I can't stand the Model F-style layout (forgive my ignorance, but I believe that is what it is based off of), so it'd only be a donor board for me. I'm trying to find a PCB or donor board I can use to replace the broken/bricked PCB in my NTC 6151N which had blue alps....
