You didn't think about ISO needing one switch more than ANSI. That will probably be covered by the winkey switches in most cases, but should at least get a remark in the sheet or something.

In the first column there's a red key shared by PT/IT and one shared by SE/DK. There's also one shared by ES/IT in column 18. You could add those to increase support for the existing layouts.

I feel like it's just the picture of the bottom of a different board. There's at least a difference in lighting. In most pictures the board looks pretty much the same grey, but that one looks beige.

Hey, there's already a thread in the German section that's seen a little bit of activity recently, but don't let that discourage you. To non-German buyers: be aware you'll need a German shipping address and apparently need to be able to pay by bank transfer to a german bank account. EDIT: Maybe some...

I know HADapter R1. Dolch is a novelty on the German market Since I have zero Dolch keycap sets, I also have no need to design an adapter kit .. that's the motivation I need to invest my time into this and design some nice kits. I wouldn't really know what I'm doing unless I owned a few Dolch kits a...

I really like your design, especially the Git kit. The name of the API kit seems plain wrong to me, though. The main thing that currently keeps me away from this keyset is the missing support for ISO and stepped capslock. I hope the ISO part gets solved with the international kit/the uk kit.

If you manage to destroy the insides you can order a refill for only 90% of the price of a whole new board.
Only use genuine Cherry refills. Third party refills can dammage your keyboard. Using third party refills voids your warranty.

I mean all G81/G83/G86 variants and the G80 variants that aren't labled "MX Board" and new enough to have MX switches. I'm not sure about release dates for those, but they still manufacture a lot of them.

Yeah, I have my eyes on a local G80-1800HXXDE and consider getting these, a bunch of zealio sliders, QMX clips and maybe some heavier springs for it. A nice little refurbishment/modding project without soldering that could turn into my main keyboard at home.

The history of Cherry stabilisers

What do we know about the history of Cherry stabilisers? When did Cherry stabilisers change from screw-in to clip-in? My mid '98 1800 has clip-ins, that's currently my oldest G80. Did both types coexist for a while? Did Cherry start using them in their own keyboards and still offer the old type as a...
