Re: Some LK201 clones with Cherry MX switches

Next is a Qume QVT-61 from around 1994. This is what got me started on this set, after doing a few older QVT keyboards that cloned a VT100, sort of. QVT-61-case.jpg QVT-61-back.jpg According to a table on Bitsavers , this part number, 303686-11, was also used with a number of other models, even incl...

Some LK201 clones with Cherry MX switches

The wiki has a page on Clones of the DEC LK201 , and a number of them were made by Cherry with MX black switches. After working on some related keyboards, I dug the ones covered here out to focus on. They aren't Cherry boards, but do have Cherry switches. First up is a Wyse WY85, 840105-01, with thi...

Re: Stuff you just bought

Really stuck? Like totally jammed? These boards have a few latching keys in strange places, mind. Can't remember off the top of my head, but I recall a couple maybe up in the function row. Yep, totally jammed. The latching keys are fine but the three normal ones under the nav cluster don't move at ...

Re: HP 264X keyboard review

The protocol that the terminal used to talk to this keyboard requires loading the previous state of each key before sensing it. Which I think explains why you might want a more vanilla switch for RESET TERMINAL to be sure of getting things reliably back in sync. Baud rate and parity (odd, even, none...

Re: QVT-101

The Qume (ITT subsidary) QVT-101 was a low-cost green screen ASCII (dumb) terminal from the mid-80's. It competed against the likes of the ADM-3A in the sub-$500 market. For ANSI (smart) terminals, in particular with VT100 compatibility, there were other higher-end QVT models. I believe these capabi...

Teensy 3.6 or 4.0 and the USBHost_t36 TeensyDuino library support USB host mode, which is probably the hardest part of this.

1) Maybe the MC7004 is only kindof compatible with LK201, and maybe it's missing some features. I think this is the most likely.
Yes, that's it. A real LK201 has commands to enable key-up for different groups of keys, not just the shifts. The МС 7004 does not support those. More here.

Re: IDENTIFY THE KEYBOARD thread

It can connect to a DEC VT-220 and looks pretty much identical to a DEC-LK201AA keyboard. I'd say that the odds of converting it to work on a modern computer have gone up :). I am not sure that one can mix and match keyboard and terminal with a VT-220. The LK201 uses an RJ connector not mini-DIN-8,...

Flexible flat cable (FFC). AMP's brand name back in the day was FlexStrip.

I believe that hidapi is a submodule. Did you do this?

Code: Select all

git clone --recurse-submodules
If not, you'll need to submodule init and update them after the fact in the working directory.

Good call on EXTRAKEY_ENABLE. Looks like it got lost in the conversion to the expanded info.json. The stuck media keys seems to be a timing problem with how QMK tries to pretend Chibios isn't async.
