Repairing an ibm model m2/selectric touch?
"The electrolytic capacitors in the logic board are prone to failure" - the wiki While mine seems to be working just fine right now, I'd like to sort of know how to fix everything just to be safe. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K_W33djliV0 I found that video, and it looks ok but before I order the ...

buckling spring type writers?
I finally tracked down an ibm selectric touch keyboard(model m 2), and i dont think any selectrics used a model m(or even f) as a keyboard I have heard rumblings about some ibm type writers using both model m and model f internally. Are there any? And can i use those key caps on my model f xt/at or ...

Two it was $650 and i was saving up, then when i got enough they were like 800 i was sad but now i have an order in with elispe and 2 workin...

Worst mechanical : MODERN cherry mx name brand switches. I dont know how they make them so scratchy but its horrid, and dont get me started on brown feeling like a linear with dirt in the slider. Khial, gateron, and zealios dont have that ick, nor did the nib classic black switches i was lucky enoug...

Woah woah, woah. They took your design(round 2 design I assume), put a new label on it, and went back to massdrop!? If i understand right? Thats... well then. I wonder if its just massdrop theyre pushing this on or if theyre planning to try and use your work to launch a line... This is exactly the ...

The molds really dont matter that much... Even IF he were to sell them who is to say they'd be used on model F or even M keyboards? The case could be used on about any board a company wanted to put in it. Keys could be sold to buckling spring geeks like us. Like i said i hope he releases the designs...

Not up already, will be online on Monday. Just noticed (because massdrop didn't include it in the spec sheet at the bottom) that there's only clicky and tactile options available .... on a hall effect keyboard ... Not sure how a 122 key version would sell better than a 75% or an ISO option or just ...

Yeah, kinda always wondered. Does it make it feel better or is it just the best way to fix missing rivets?

I mean not to sound rude but what do you mean by finally? There have been great office mice(some of which had gaming grade laser sensors) for a while now. I'll admit they arent very advertised but my brother had one and loved it.green-squid wrote: ↑This thing looks great! FInally a good non gamery mouse!

Was excited to hear about this until I found out it uses the BlueTrack sensor which is absolute pus for gaming :( Intellimouse 3.0 with a 3310 or 3360 would be grail mouse for me. I gotta agree, tried out a friend's one last night. Were it not for that dangd angle snapping it would be just fine. Bu...

Intelimouse classic, anyone tried one yet? Worth a buy?
Like I expect it to be comfy sine it has that shape, but i hear it also uses a not so good sensor. On one had that *could* be bad for gaming, granted the greats of yore used ball mice sooo idk how bad any modern optical sensor can really be. For non gaming use i expect it to be fine but im just curi...
