Yes. They cracked a few of my Wy-60's caps. (The worst affected one was the "Break" key, lol)
I believe the problem is the stems are deformed, the sides of the cross mount bow out slightly, if you look at a close up of a Box switch.

Thanks! I think I've decided.

Tai-Hao APC switches

Hi, I got a AT101 chassis off of Ebay and want to sell the black Alps and replace the switches. I am thinking of using Blue Tai-Hao APC Alps clones, but can't find much information on them. Who has used them, and are they any good? Is the sound better than Matias, as far as I can tell Matias doesn't...

I absolutely hate the integrated domes in my Tandy 200, in fact, I want to one day have an Alps-clone PCB for it to replace them. And they are the round slider version, with white sliders.

The old Apple machines were built like appliances, offered good quality (had ALPS switches!) and were a unique and alternative platform. The first-ever machine was even a DIY kit! Nowadays, Apple machines are soldered-together underpowered Intel computers and an overpriced toy phone that is wrongly ...

Update: Successfully flashed the Teensy with Soarer's Wyseverter, and connected it to the keyboard via an Ethernet cable (The original cable was way too flimsy and the strands kept breaking) I 3D printed a case for the Teensy (which I unfortunately had to file down somewhat as it was designed wrong,...

I absolutely hate that all laptops nowadays are flimsy Mac-book wannabes, give me my childhood ThinkPad 600x with a Ryzen APU, I'll be happy. I carried that thing everywhere, (along with a bag full of accessories) I never cried about it being "too heavy," and it's not like I was strong or anything.

Would it be possible for you to design a replacement PCB for the G80-11900? (PS/2 version) I would pay for the design.

There is this one on Taobao: https://m.intl.taobao.com/detail/detail.html?id=566101647227 I have one, but I didn't build the keyboard it is intended for, yet. The quality seems a bit cheap, it is quite bend, but from shorting the pads it seems to work fine. It also seems to have a connector for the...

I'd rather a thick laptop with a proper keyboard, upgradability, and build quality.

Where are you located? Maybe someone skilled in PCB repair can fix the PCB for you. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk I believe I've thoroughly trashed this PCB, also I'd rather pay for the design of a new one that is made out of better materials. I found a stash of G80-11900s with doubleshot ke...

G80-11900 PCB?

Hello, I attempted to swap the switches in a Cherry G80-11900 keyboard, from MX Black to a Blue clone, as the person who wanted it liked the feel of the blues better, but the project has been ruined by Cherry's "spit-and-cardboard" PCB, pads kept lifting, and by the end, many of the keys did not wor...

My Wyse WY-60 with Box Navy Switches

Hello, I got this Wyse WY-60 keyboard off of Ebay, and I replaced the MX black switches with Kailh Box Navies (except for the numpad, I ran out of Boxes so I used blue switches) Now I'm waiting for a Teensy to arrive so I can convert it to USB (may need some help with that later). Enjoy! DSC00386.JP...
