Strange people like myself would be willing to pay more xD Strange people like myself did pay more, quite a bit more. :maverick: Was it worth it? Sure. 8-) You lucky sod! Finding one in the UK is proving rather difficult. I suppose I could buy one off ebay for a ridiculous amount and pay half of th...

Wonderful find!

Definitely consider yourself lucky getting this for such a good price! Strange people like myself would be willing to pay more xD

Will you be converting it to be usable on a modern machine or leaving it original?

I can't seem to stop buying keyboards... You're not alone in that here. ;) Although once you get most of what you want to try or set out to get things start to mellow out. Unobtanium is the joker, get lucky or have more patience. I don't even know if it will start to mellow out. I literally b...

I can't seem to stop buying keyboards, just noticed Unicomp were selling some new in box model m's on their site. Granted they're the later Lexmark models but I just couldn't pass up the $80 deal.

You can always try reseating the spring too, fairly easy to do if you have a decent light and some tweezers. How can i do that exactly? Gently pull up on the spring until it pops off. Shine a torch down the barrel and youll see the little notch on the flipper where the spring needs to sit. Take you...

I managed to replace springs by using a torx driver that i put in to the springs coil then pushed down to seat it on to the hammer, they're fairly easy to replace but can take a while to get it seated perfectly.

I did this recently, just heat the badge up for a few seconds with a hair dryer and cut underneath it carefully with a sharp thin blade. If it's not staying off for long there should be more than enough adhesive left on the badge to stick it back on to another case. Same deal with the LED overlay. I...

You brits are crazy, it seems the only bad parts of the xt layout are the only ones you kept xD vertical enter and split left shift are my 2 least favorite parts about my F XT. The vertical enter on the XT is horrible, I simply can't use it, nor can I use the tiny backspace on the AT Model F's. Mod...
