Re: XMIT Reviews: Topre Realforce R2 (PFU Limited Edition)

I just got this keyboard. It is loverly but it just does not quite feel as smooth as a classic realforce i had on loan or even my novatouch.... i am guessing it takes a few days to break it. Also , the case near the arrow cluster is slightly loose, this is a known issue as far as i know , anyone got...

It was a different time ... The other day, I binged a few Bond movies with Roger Moore from the '70s and was amazed by things they could get away with back then that would bring an angry mob with torches and pitchforks today. Its crazy the things you cannot do now. I mean you can barely wipe your a...

Thanks for the link. That is a little more than what i wanted to spend . Was thinking around the 150 GBP mark. I will keep an eye on it and if it does not sell quickly i will make an offer. Its a shame the novatouch does not fit generic costar TKL cases :). Or i could get a wooden one made, that may...

[WTB]Case for Novatocuh

Hi All

I am looking for a replacement case for a novatouch.

Does not have to be anything fancy.

The case it came with is getting a bit worn and one of the feet is broken.

Dont want to spend crazy money but dont mind spending a little extra to get something nice

Re: Sun Damaged Keycap Restoration

Honestly think your at the stage of replace not repair, that sun damage is extreme. You possibly could get some clear epoxy (you can get optically clear epoxy if you look around) and cover them in a thin layer but i dont know how you would go about getting an even coat and it would be an insane ammo...

We want to see it all ! Fantastic work getting this thing back up and running. Clearly a labour of love. Show photos and...

Re: Hacking a PS/2 onto a Raspberry Pi for Tipro's reprogramming?

There is an MDI USB interface that you can simply swap out with the PS/2 one and have full functionality on 64 bit systems. MDI is no longer made by tipro (a shame as they are superior to newer models IMO) and the USB versions are not very common and also very expensive when they do show up. ( i was...

Re: Great/Interesting Finds

The second one looks to be in great shape, but the differing code number (BTUS965212756 instead of BTUS890923757) makes me wonder if it's a rubber dome instead of a proper mechanical keyboard. As per conversions... shouldn't both be talking in Code Set 3? And if so, wouldn't a common Soarer's conve...

Re: Great/Interesting Finds

It WOULD be tempting to get one of those, take out the MX blacks off of it, put MX Clears on (plus QMX clips) and perhaps have a sufficiently silent battleship-sized keyboard for the office. I dont think you will be disappointed , they are built quite well. If you do get one and get it working ( co...

Pretty slick. Very nice and aesthetic.

It always happens that the switch that doesn't work would be the one under the promicro. It is almost a rule!

Give that thing a ANSI enter split backspace and 1x1 mods between Ctrl and Alt and you have one hell of a layout! Never did understand why on TKL boards they get rid of the numpad and not the nav cluster . Just move the down arrow from 2 to 5 and you have a T Nav. You could even put insert and delet...

I prefer the safer and warmer version of a bike. What they do is add 2 more wheels so it wont fall over and a metal....body around it to keep the cold air and water out
