Re: Please identify this keyboard
Definitely a BTC, the slightly wider escape key is so common on them.

Re: F62+F77 orders now open! New Kishsaver+Industrial Model F Keyboards
Use the model F for longer, the tactility will grow on you. I use 55g domes as well in some of my topre boards, and I always notice a difference in tactility when switching back to capacitive buckling spring, while the key stroke feels lighter, the tactile bump is more intense than topre. If you wan...

Re: Mu's New HHKB
I've never tried this myself so am unsure of what the results would be, but have you tried removing the type-s silencing rings? I can't imagine there's any real wobble on the sliders as the rings are extremely thin I was thinking doing it. I've read here and there that when you do that, they start ...

Re: Mu's New HHKB
I have a set of kbdfans HiPro caps in my drawer, they're not too far off the shape & feel of MT3. I do find they benefit in terms of sound from using o-rings on the keycaps themselves. I really like them, but I didn't like the white caps on their own. I'll definitely pick up some of their darker Hi...

Re: Topre 55g first impressions from an alps user
I have a Topre RF mouse, but I waited for one to go for a fairly reduced price on eBay. I got it mostly to have a silent mouse, which it fits that role well for. I'd not recommend it for any other purpose over other comprable mice, especially at its price. How does it feel exactly? I'm having a har...

Re: Topre 55g first impressions from an alps user
I got a 55g Realforce R2 recently and for me they are a little stiff, but have good tactility. The keyboard with 45g silent switches are near perfect and I could see myself taking it to work as my daily driver, unlike some of the other keyboards in my collect due to noise. Welcome to Topre!!! [WTS] ModelFKeyboards Model F 77 Black ANSI w/ original Model F flippers & springs
Hi All Decided to let one of my Model F Repros go, this one is easily the favourite out of the two I own in anything other than layout. The springs and flippers were replaced with original Model F flippers and springs - This mod makes it feel almost identical to my old 4704 F107, and she has been ro...

Re: [WTB-UK] HHKB Pro Classic - Black
Ok but you still gonna pay customs and tax, so it will be almost same as from amazon? It really depends what you buy from there, an HHKB or realforce will probably be cheaper from Amazon since stock has been brought over to this country. But for items such as keycap sets, you can save a good chunk ...

Where is this retail price in UK? On the PFU website Also edit: I managed to grab myself a white one for a decent price on Rakuten :) Yeah, but pfu site shows excl vat prices. So it cost more. What is rakuten? Apart from movies site. https://buyee.jp/rakuten/ It's a Japanese marketplace.

The silencers hellothere refers to: https://kbdfans.com/products/topre-keyboard-silence-x-120pcs-1?_pos=3&_sid=f76d7746a&_ss=r OR https://deskeys.io/collections/home-all-products/products/silencing-ring-for-topre-keyboards Deskeys have more choices in terms of thickness, but the thicker you go the m...

Re: Topre 55g first impressions from an alps user
The reason behind the rubber stiffening over time still remains a mystery to me. My near brand new condition Pro 1 A0 from July 2003 has the stiffest topre domes I've ever used. By far heavier than any of my 55g domes. My heavily used yellowed HHKB Pro 2 from 2013 despite being 10 years younger than...

Re: Topre 55g first impressions from an alps user
I'm glad we have another Topre lover! They absolutely deserve the same level of attention as Alps & Buckling Spring in my eyes. I have to say though, out of the box they are never completely perfect. I'd recommend getting some XHT-BDZ for your 2u & spacebar stabilizers. I don't think lubing the 1u k...

Re: F62+F77 orders now open! New Kishsaver+Industrial Model F Keyboards
Hello! I just had a key die on me. I did the usual things to try and bring it back.. In the end, replacing the keycap fixed it. Any ideas what caused this ? I reset the keycap several times with no luck. Replacing the broken key with a working key fixed it. Luckily I had a backup keycap.. Oh ya, an...

Re: F62+F77 orders now open! New Kishsaver+Industrial Model F Keyboards
Hi all! New Model F Labs F77 owner here. The keyboard feels great in most respects, and I really am enjoying typing on it. One question: The space bar seems slightly unreliable. One in maybe twenty presses seems not to register when typing fast. I can more reliably (70%) reproduce this issue by pus...

Re: Noob asking for help
I think I upset someone really badly when I answered their keyboard questions, and despite Wodan’s heroic assistance in trying to calm them down by calling them a touchy zoomer Kraut, the damage was already done. I’m sorry, guys. This is what happens when you try to convert keyboard noobs into Topr...

Re: Is AES safe to boil?
Looks to have turned out pretty damn well considering the low temperature you used.
I wonder if you left it in longer, would it continue to darken into the grey you were after?

Re: Is AES safe to boil?
I should probably add if you're going to use iDye Poly on the Pro 3, it'll probably work for you (as long as it is in fact PBT plastic) Don't attempt it on a Pro 2 or Pro 1, they'd warp under the temperature needed for iDye Poly to work edit: Pro 3 isn't PBT (I always thought it was thanks to a mis...

My white Pro 1 is ABS, as is the black pro 1
Same deal with white pro 2 and black pro 2.
The only exception is the Pro 3 Hybrid and Classic where I believe the cases are now PBT?

Yet the ABS spacebar remains white? I’m happy with the quarter extra I paid for my NIB black Pro 2 a few months ago. Definitely didn’t stay stock , mind. If you’re well behaved, you got a much better bargain when doing the honest thing and including what I spent on all my upgrades. ;) Yeh I was sur...

Re: Noob asking for help
I really wouldn't hold your breath on Topre releasing an ISO version of the R3 considering an ISO version of the R2 boards don't exist.
It's pretty much ANSI or nothing unfortunately.
