For cleaning purposes (or later on putting on new keycaps):
How do I best remove the keycaps on my KBC Poker?
I don't have a keycap-puller, and I am afraid that I could break something, considering the keys are PCB mounted.

i got a NIB IBM Model M SSK ANSI and three boards of NIB IBM Model M, how much do them worth thanks I'd say EUR 200 for the SSK and somewhere between 100 and 120 for the Ms. But with NIBs it's always a bit of a gamble, since they're really only collectors items. If you're buying them to use it usua...

What do you guys think? I think a Kinessis is the farthest you could reasonably get from a TKL. So make sure you have the desk-/chair-/keyboardtrayspace to work with that (and look over it at your monitor). Thanks, I did not think of that. I do believe I have enough space right now, but I am most l...

I could get the following configuration for about Eur 230, but I am hesitant to jump at it because it still is quite a lot of dough for me: Kinesis Advantage Pro (Mint condition, but out of warranty) Extra Key Caps 2 Foot Pedals 2 New Palm Pads What do you guys think? Is Eur 230 a good price? I am a...

Yup, some prefer pixel perfect fonts, some prefer anti aliased fonts. I prefer to the second group. I generally dislike high contrasts (which is why I use solarized as a color scheme as well), so the smooth/blurred edges suit me well. I guess everything has its pros and cons. But I'm still looking ...

I would pick the choc mini. The poker is poor quality and has crap firmware and I don't know enough about the pure but AFAIK it has the same mounting and flexing of the poker. If you are comming from a HHKB expect to be a little bit dissapointed with anything else. Well, I'd say the build quality i...

I am using Xmonad with Xmobar on top. :) What makes you think it's not? :D I floated that window in front of it to make the shot. I also recommend you to install (all from AUR): + the infinality freetype and fontconfig patches + rxvt-unicode-patched The former make ttf (xft) font rendering much bett...

So is DataHand Systems still in business? On their website they state that they have issues with their supplier, but you can still submit orders for the DataHand Pro 2 for $1000. Still a bit pricey, but considering that that is such a special piece of engineering, I think the price is not overly exp...

Well you get what you pay for, the x-series build quality (chassis strength ect...) is fantastic. I owned an X60s, now I own an X201, and I could work with an X31. The X31 was the best, the X201 is the worst. Don't get me wrong, if I were to compare it with any other laptop it would range among the...

The moment I got my first Model M, I realized a) what they were aiming for with the Thinkpad keyboards and b) how far they missed the mark... True indeed; in fact, the keyboards have actually gotten worse with time, after Lenovo took over. But then again, I owned an X60s (which, if I remember corre...

I took a gamble and bought the CST L-Trac X from www.computerware.co.uk for about €160. I have never used a trackball in my life and I am extremely happy with my purchase. At first I needed to get used to the trackball being extremely sensitive, even at 800 DPI (lowest setting). But you can control ...

Where to get laser printed/engraved PBT KBC Poker keycaps?
Subject says it all:
I would like to get myself some laser engraved PBT keycaps for my KBC Poker, similar to these two:

Any ideas?

Works like a charm. I've had many cheap IKEA tables that get uneven fast, so I know it.

Desk is uneven, KBC Poker wobbles - how to even up?
I was just about to write that my Poker is uneven and wobbles on my desk. Having placed it on another part of my desk it turns out that maybe my desk is more uneven than the Poker. Or maybe the desk has just the right curve at that part of the table... Anyway, I am confused, and it's beside the poin...

Sorry to just barge in here, but those keycaps are not actually proper replacements for the standard KBC Poker keys since the PBT keycaps lack the print on the side (showing their FN-function); is this correct? In case they do have the printing on the side of the keys, I would take on "Black on Blac...

I am using the Logitech MX518 for close to 6 years now (I think I bought it some time around mid 2006). I am still very happy with it and consider it to be a great buy.
