Re: Great/Interesting Finds
Loaded with 55g domes surprisingly. IMG_2092.jpg Getting this working on a PC would be insane, including that giant volume wheel. These are the conductive dome variant correct? Would be fairly easy to map out the matrix and do a QMK controller replacement if that's the case. There's a dude in Conic...

Re: Mu's New HHKB
Purchased one from the same seller you used Mu and he accepted an offer of 90 pounds. An absolute steal for a NIB HHKB. I think this one might end up as the internals for the S60 Sho or Evija when they arrive.

Original tape is gone and the ssk has been removed from packaging. To me this is no longer 'NIB', but no doubt people will still pay a hefty sum.thefarside wrote: ↑14 Aug 2022, 16:00New old stock SSK. The highest I remember one going for was $1400.

Well, which Microsoft ergo keyboard does he use? My favourite (non-mech) ergo split board was the Microsoft natural ergonomic desktop 7000 (the wireless version of the ergonomic desktop 4000 board) The only thing I hated about it was the horrible sounding spacebar. If I didn't care about it being me...

One is never enough!
I'd love to find a classic for pro 2 prices, I need a board to go into the heavy grail case when it arrives and I really want to keep my hybrid in tact as a bluetooth board.

Re: MX Clear Pins
Mx clears have 3 pins, as to whether that matters I'd imagine that depends on the PCB.
Most if not all of these barebone kits look like they'll accept both.
I used mx clears years ago on my poker 3, never had any split caps.

Re: Great/Interesting Finds
Two M122s and One F122 Model F with a number beginning with "138"? I thought that they were all 611xxxx. Not all, 1385151 and 1435068 are examples of F122s that don't follow the usual 611 number scheme. As to why they have those Model numbers, your guess is as good as mine. Intended for different s...

Re: HHKB
So you all had issues using hhkb? Going back and forth? So at some point you finally got used to its layout then? Never had issues with the HHKB, I just started to use Model Fs more a year or two ago and figured I'd sell my HHKBs cos it seemed a shame to have them sit around while not being used. H...

You could always put some 205g0 on the underside of the keycaps to get rid of any friction.

Re: FEXT / FSSK with bolt mod?
Back when I had my FSSK I remember it being an absolute swine to tune it (loosening / tightening different bolts) in order to get it to work efficiently & to sound good. I imagine this tuning would be significantly easier if one was to do a screw mod. Apart from that I can't think of why else a bolt...

May as well just embrace the yellow 20220521_191439.jpg Funnily enough my Pro 1 is as white as a new hybrid or pro classic thanks to being in a box most of it's life, I've been topping him up on UV protection spray every couple weeks just because naturally white Pro 1s are pretty hard to come by. 20...

Re: HHKB's you've tried
So what is it about the Pro 1 that makes you prefer it to the Hybrid? If I get another HHKB, I am either going to do the Pro 1 or the Classic. Do the keys feel any different/better? I prefer the pro 1 because the domes age in the best possible way. They are still a smooth switch but have additional...

Re: HHKB's you've tried
Pro 1 > Hybrid > Pro 2 > Classic > KB01/02 (currently own at least one of each) Pro 1 is easily my favourite, the case is thinner and creaks less than it's near identical twin the Pro 2, the domes have all stiffened nicely by now to anywhere between 50 & 60g, and they are often so worn down that lub...
