What does bit-paired mean? It refers to how the characters are assigned to unshifted and shifted locations on the keyboard, mostly for the numeric keys. paired.png The bit-paired layout corresponds directly to ASCII codes. ascii.jpg This means that the shift key always toggles one bit of the unshif...

Looks good. Note that "EMAIL" before your email is optional and I think the caps lock and enter keys on the SPH are slightly shorter than normal so there will be a slight gap on each side. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Enter and some versions of shift. You can add SPH/MRET which is full-width bu...

It's not a trackball, and as a mouse substitute, it's not terribly useful — basically a giant trackpoint.

Support for these (originally) expensive devices is abysmal, and the reason I will never again buy any Logitech product.

ABS has a low melting point, so use the lowest possible drill speed. Best to drill undersize and finish the hole with a hand reamer. You can fill the hole with a drop of clear epoxy, very carefully.

The first black Kinesis — painted that way by the prop department.

So, if you want Kinesis to produce a split contoured model, all you have to do is cut an Advantage in half and use it as a prop in a hit movie.

Wait! You've posted the wrong picture — those are all Selectric I or II keys. You need a picture of the Selectric III with its cylindrical ISO9995-style keycaps, like this one shamelessly stolen from the internets, to show the match with the F.

Dollar sign and the at sign (monkey tail - lol) have been around a LONG time. They were around, but not generally part of a normal font (a 'font' being a set of metal sorts of some typeface). The normal consist of a metal or film font in the days before computer vector typefaces does not include all the characters that appear on a computer (or Wheelwriter) keyboard, so they had to roll their own.
