Just received my prototype pcb, great packaging! Thank you for that.

Regarding the xwhatsit controller, doesn't it need any ground connection? I can't really see one in your pictures.
Little bit confusing, as I thought it always needs a ground like on normal Model F's?

Well I don't think it's prank, as I have mine too, although in a less good condition then this one. The keycaps should be ABS, because mine are a yellowed. Good thing is that I have most of the keycaps twice in a much better condition. It seems to be kind of rare, but I think as of know I saw 3, one...

Wow I didn't know about that website either, seems to be a very good option for people that live in Europe! Does anyone know if the PCB on the shop supports ALP switches? As they seem to cut the plate themselves, it should be possible to get a ALP's compatible plate. Or at least that's what I think....

I use my SSK. Love the feeling, and I'm very excited how the FSSK will be (if it works). I have a few Model F's here, so I know how nice the feeling is. That feeling with a SSK should be endgame for me!

Just send you a PM about the order.

Sadly I realized that I need about 10-15 F flipper to have enough for two FSSK's, I think 10 should be alright though, and 15 would defnitly be enough.
Does anyone have about 10 extra flippers that they wouldn't need? That would be great! :)

Would it be possible to buy a few PCB's more? I may want another one, so I can build two FSSK (I have two bolt-modded SSK's, so that's kind of nice). A friend of mine would like to buy one too I think. Or do you want to do just 10 PCB's to make sure the PCB works? Edit: Oh and yeah, I know it's just...

Well, maybe I will try that today just to know how it feels, or if it improves the feeling.
The most thing I like about Model F's is that it's not as heavy to press down. Would be a nice transition until the real deal PCB is there. :)

Just to know, would it be possible to just swap the M flipper with F ones, but let everything else the same? I mean, the bigger flipper should have contact with the membrane right? That wouldn't be a "true" Model F, but maybe they are just as light as F ones then. Would be good to know, if anyone as...

Nice work micrex22! Good to see that someone else thinks that it feels like a real Model F, that's great to hear. Now we only need that sweet PCB to complete the dream. If everything goes well with the project, then I'm definitely interested in painting the case black. Would be nice to see the resul...

Thank you very much for you pictures. I think I will try a 2mm "Moosgummi"-Foam first, and see if the problem is gone.

IBM Model F107 - New Foam

Hey ho, I'm currently in the process of restoring my F107, and as for now I changed the layout to ANSI, but after I put everything back together, I realized that the barrels in the middle row (where the return key is) have a huge amount of wiggle to them. The ones in the first rows are fine though. ...

I don't really liked the switches... But overall it's okay. But not 70€-okay. :)

Could somebody post a comparison of a few alu cases and a HHKB in their height difference? Maybe it's just my point of view, but the most 60% Alu cases seems to be a lot higher then a HHKB. The printing on them seems to be not as high quality as the original keycaps.
Somehow posted a comparison with OG APL keycaps and the APL caps from Unicomp, and you could clearly see the difference when compared directly.
Overall I would say they are very good, as you said still Dyesub PBT!
