Re: Don't you feel like DT is dying?
As I gather from what he said, he suffered a truly catastrophic loss in his family. He’s shell shocked. Having been through something similar myself, you get forced to reset just to heal yourself. It’s hard, hard stuff. Sure, I get it. It's just keyboards - just stuff - in the end, there are other ...

Ah, lot_lizard. I reached out to him repeatedly to attempt to buy back all the inventory I sold him so that I could further the project. Radio silence - and this is after he accepted a LinkedIn connection request.

Re: Future of DT
Kind of wish I'd tried harder to acquire the forum from Webwit. Money wasn't the issue per se - either I have it, or I could have raised it. I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to give the forum the time and attention it deserves.
Anyway, if the forum goes up for sale again, please ping me.

Ok… They responded and said they will be formulating an action plan and moving on it immediately. Fingers crossed! I just want to be able to enjoy keyboards with y’all. Re: Beam Spring 104+SSK Reproduction Project! First Batch In Stock, Shipping early next year after New Model F Project
Two concerns. 1. The included key caps look like double shot SA profile. SA is a far cry from the sphericals that originally shipped on these boards. MT3 is a better approximation. 2. What metal alloy are you choosing for the beam springs? IBM chose something special back in the day. I haven't seen ...

You sent me a PM about this. My sales are still on hold while I figure out a long term e-commerce solution, get a better handle on my inventory, and solve some problems related to shipping. All that aside, I mostly have Terminal M innards, you would still need a controller and cable. clickykeyboards...

I played with this board for about two minutes and was underwhelmed by the build quality. That is why I'm still waiting for your latest Hall Effect keyboard, that shall be purchased and well worth acquiring, so that this time it will be used, under my bear paws. XMIT Keyboards is on hiatus until the fall.

Re: Seeking Soarer - evidence thread
Just wait a few weeks for Shallot to finish their QMK and Via/Vial converters. Will be even easier to configure than Soarer's, as well as be open-source, actually maintained, and the creater has not (and hopefully will not) ghost the project. I'm still waiting for Round 7, my Spherical Buckling Spr...

If we've devolved to ad hominem attacks and name calling, it means that we've run out of real arguments. The prior few posts are squarely in the bottom two tiers of Graham's hierarchy of disagreement. 1200px-The_Debate_Pyramid_v2_Detailed_TT_Norms_Medium_Text_Outlined.svg.png If something terrible d...

Did you talk about dye sublimation and the single key profile? Both of these were cost saving measures. No mention of that yet. I don't think it's very important for this video to get into details of cost-saving tactics except as they directly affect keyfeel. Cost reduction is an important theme in...

Muirium I'm working on a fairly long, technical deep dive on the Model M's matrix so I am familiar. A few kind folks have reviewed it and provided some excellent feedback so far. I will have more to say later. Apologies for the few, rambling thoughts. HaaTa has force curves on plot.ly/~haata that show many (possibly all?) of the keyboards you describe. .doc  Please use one of the many open file formats. PDF, text file, .odf, or just pasting inline with a "spoiler" tag come to mind. It's plain text. I gave it a .doc extension only to pacify the uploader - it wouldn't take .adoc or .txt. Indeed it is. This is a forum bug, we should fix this.

Take note of the mold numbers along the way, did they change?

It looks like wcass caught the same interference points I did.
I still have a few F122s to sell with cracked cases. I'll be modding them with new top cases from donor boards.

The remaining boards are selling slowly due to cracked top cases.
I have managed to repair these boards using an M122 donor top case. See viewtopic.php?f=7&t=25813 for details.
