Re: Lubing Alps
If you're looking for a dry lube, try R0-59 ym KT. You can buy it at ringkeys if you're in the US, but seeing you're in argentina that's unfortunately not viable. Best dry lube I've seen for alps at this point, at least for linears. (Apply to both slider and housing) Be careful using lubes on alps i...

And conversely, I've always used them. Yeah, in a lot of cases you probably don't need it, but if you do you'll be thankful and it will help keep things reliable for longer, I reckon.

Oh wow! That has gotta be some of the oldest non-ibm clicky switches I've seen! Didn't know ITW made a variation like this.

Re: Beamspring space bar broken
Seconding ABS welding. This is how I fixed mine on my personal 3101. It's kinda a pain because I lost the broken piece and essentially had to add layer after layer of abs paste and shave and mould it into the right shape. Took a long time.... but it works!

Hey Ellipse, I ordered an F77 just a bit ago, is it possible for me to add more bumpers to my existing order? (I want to try different angles when it comes in)

Ooh, I'd be in for a pack of 120. I'd probably want to see if I could use it on my acer or another one of my boards with unfortunate caps.

Re: How many keyboards is enough?!
Do I have enough? Yes. Do I always find something new to catch my eye, forcing me to resist my urges to grow the collection further and sometimes fail that resistance? Of course. Do I have a bunch of boards I need to clean and sell? Very much so. Do I put in the time to clean and sell them? Sometime...

I must say, I would be quite interested in adding the icon mods kit and accent kit to my collection. I've got a G83 WoB set that needs some more standards mods, and I'm a sucker for this.

Re: Datadesk Switchboard
Hi I currently run my Switchboard in the PS/2 Mode but I do have a spare cable for ADB if you have or can make a converter for that. Also, a heads up, a lot of commercial cheap converters do not work well with the Switchboard. I highly recommend using the tmk pc_usb converter if you plan to go that ...

The biggest seems the quietest, which appears consistent with my experience. F122 is always a good keyboard.

Your active ps/2 to usb adapter, would it happen to be a blue cube? No, it's not a blue cube. It's an active PS/2 to USB converter that I got alongside an IBM Model M that I bought from eBay. Here is a picture of the converter: active_converter.jpg To be honest, your best bet is probably to make a ...

Re: Sticky keys on NOS Northgate OmniKey Plus
Your active ps/2 to usb adapter, would it happen to be a blue cube? Those have given me nothing but trouble on my northgates. To be honest, your best bet is probably to make a tmk adapter with the ibmpc_usb firmware (no longer recommending soarers due to a lack of support). It works perfectly on all...

Okay, so this actually happened to me with my Acer KB-101-A. My solution was to handwire it all and make it a usb compatible, programmable keyboard. I can help you go through with this if you would like. If you have diodes on it, it will be significantly easier. Seeing that it is the A model, this s...

Hey all, I'm looking to purchase some alps doubleshot or dyesub keycaps. Beige and Grey preferred. Homing on F and J preferred. Unyellowed preferreed. ANSI preferred. Re: Computer Reset Conundrum
ngl, really surprised to see Wodan trashing you like this, Redmaus. For what it's worth, you weren't perfect but accusations of theft are not okay when they haven't surfaced at all until recently.
But then, what do I know? I wasn't there, my perspective is incomplete. This goes both ways, of course.
