Model M - Membranes stuck together?

I opened up a Model M (1390120) last night in preparation for a bolt mod, and found that the membranes are quite firmly stuck to each other and to the back plate. It's almost like they were glued together, and I don't know if I could separate them from the back plate without damaging them. I don't t...

I'd be interested in the badge if nobody wants the whole thing.

One of the common styles of Apple II clone, sold under many names or none.
Ah thanks, that makes sense. I was guessing Apple from the front legends, but couldn't find a model that matched.

Thanks Andrew. Yeah, it's hard to tell from the photo, but I'm pretty sure they are scratches. Moving it around under a light, they're shinier than the rest of the badge if light catches them at the right angle.

Model F XT Restoration

Hey guys, I'm working on restoring my first model F XT, and having a lot of fun doing it. I've cleaned the case, keycaps, barrels and flippers, and they're all in great condition. Luckily the foam was in good shape too. The barrel plate was a bit rusty, so I soaked it in vinegar, sanded it and paint...

It is an IBM 3178 keyboard without the blue switch.
Ah - thanks! Hadn't seen one without the blue switch before.

Ah thanks hasu. You're right, it does look like the Alt/Opt modifier is being applied. I will check the keycap. The interesting thing is that if I leave the adapter plugged into the computer and disconnect/reconnect the keyboard, the issue persists - whereas if I disconnect the adapter from the comp...

PS2 to USB adapter issue

Hey guys, I'm using a Model M 1391401 connected to an iMac with a Sanoxy blue cube PS2 to USB adapter. It mostly works well, but once or twice a day it gets itself into a state where it seems to transmit the wrong key codes. For example, I'll type "0123456789" and get something like "¡™£¢∞§¶•ªº" ins...
