QMK also supports Teensy 3.2 and LC.
The challenge with later boards there is ChibiOS, the RTOS it uses, which doesn't yet support them.

Unshifted parentheses
The recent work around the Licon / ITW magnetic valve switches reminded me to look at the photos of Haata's collection of such boards. Which includes a Cortron board with remarkable parens surrounding the number row. Which got me thinking about the periodic recurrence of unshifted parentheses. Full ...

The Kaypros (looks like three of them, two with cases) stand out, even in the opening overall shot.kmnov2017 wrote: ↑21 Nov 2019, 14:59Another storage unit

Re: Burroughs TD 830 Series Keyboard
What does the connector look like on the end of your (presumably original) cable? The one I just snagged from eBay (which also has a big red(!) push button in position A next to the key in position S) has a 16-conductor male that looks like it would fit into an IC socket. But only six wires, and tw...

HP 2645A keyboard USB conversion
I finally got around to doing this. I used QMK as the base, since that seemed the best way to make it generally useful, with its fairly general key mapping and other support. I could imagine someone someday using Circuit Python to build a vintage keyboard tookit with common decoding routines, equiva...

I see that some others have picked up these little NOS one-eyed space invader keyboards (from some kind of TRW equipment) on eBay. For instance, it looks from the photos like mcmaxmcmc had one at the Petaluma meetup. I took a few minutes and coded the matrix for QMK . No thought was required; just t...

Re: Amtelco KB163 Autohotkey help?
Okay, I picked up some DIN5 connectors from Jameco and it seems to be working. For now, it's in an amtelco_kb163 commit in a branch in my working QMK fork. I didn't put any thought into the key mappings: I just spread F13-F24 around in the various extension blocks. Plus, since this is Winkeyless, it...

Re: Amtelco KB163 Autohotkey help?
I guess nobody is yes to both questions, so I'll try from just the first. (I've never tried autohotkey.) Is this the USB model or the AT model? If AT, are you plugging it into a PS2 port with a passive adapter or using a USB converter? Because I wouldn't be surprised if some of the latter lost the e...

Re: help me to get an unknown vintage alps keyboard to work!
The SGI connector (unverified) is in kbdbabel : consistent in being a mini-DIN-6, needing 12V, and having a pass-through for the mouse (hence the two ports on the keyboard). drakware sells a converter in the other direction, so the protocol is probably known (if it isn't just RS-232, say). Very old KBD 078A Apple Keyboard, doubleshot caps I believe that the Apple icons look so weird because this is from some IIe clone. Very similar to http://museo.dagomari.prato.it/singolo.php?cod=64&ord=1 . In fact, since the umlauts seem to be rubbing off, it might be identical, but with those prin...

Also check out http://www.hpmuseum.net/collection_document.php. It looks like maybe 9845B_SchematicsByTonyDuell_152pages2.pdf has the hand drawn(!) schematics, including the keyboard assembly.

Okay. Please excuse the mediocre photos, but the hardware promises to just get less accessible for a while and there isn't much time for retouching. All the converters in the OP are using an ATmega32U4 as the MCU. Most use LUFA to simplify programming its USB functionality. The earlier version of th...

long and gray Guilty. Come off it! It's funny, but it only takes about five minutes for the old habit of Rubout / Backspace to the left of A to come back. I'm sure unshifted parens would too, if I needed to do more Lisp. That makes it hard to switch back to an everyday layout, which is necessary wh...

As we prepare for a cross-country move, some classic keyboards came out one last time in the old place.
All have functioning USB interfaces using their original controllers and connectors.

I have connected that ASCII keyboard as a serial port using a Teensy. There aren't quite enough keys for it to be a modern keyboard. The scanning logic does look substantially the same as the Space Cadet. The MCU looks like a soldered 8048 instead of a socketed 8748, so that's pretty much the same, too. If it were socketed, or you were willing to desolder the MCU, I bet driving the demux directly would work. But let's assume that...

If you would like to get your Space Cadet "guts" working again, even without the 8748, see https://github.com/MMcM/lmkbd2#space-cadet-direct.
