In the Apple kit the second 1u "shiny" key (don't know what kind of key that is) is too small, isn't it?
And it's not centered.
The 1.75u FN is gone, I guess?

Re: IC/Discussion on beige set

I think it would look weird if the iso enter is the only blank key and every other key is lettered. Also I don't think 6$ vs 2$ isn't that much more considering the price of a full set.

Same white/light grey with colored legends would be fine for me. It's a bit inconspicuous, but I'd like it.

Couldn't we but the ISO shift into the language packs? I think almost every language in there needs it anyway, same goes for the ISO enter and AltGr, but I don't know, wether that would lead to the same problem with the ISO enter as before.

Actually on some numbers as well: 2"², 3§³, 7/{, 8([, 9)], 0=}, ß?\, they wouldn't be centered, but left of the center. And the <>|.

Btw, is it another "hidden error" that there are two dark grey ESC caps in the base set, shouldn't one be light grey?

"Look, I have this exclusive 100 € PBT spherical dyesub set on my 130 € Filco (or 250 € custom designed board)! And I spent an extra 50 € to have the legends in my language! Yes, I know the € sign and {[]}²³~| are missing, but after all it was 10€ cheaper that way and I know where everything belong...

Basically it was pure luck, I found this on Ebay a while ago. It looked rather interesting and the description said, that the keys "click" on activation. Since it didn't look like a MX board to me, I was curious and bought it. Actually I would have bought it as MX version, too! It wasn't that expens...

German seems ok, but the 1! isn't really necessary, is it? I think, it's already in Ansi-US. Also, if we could let go of some third legends, the kits would be much smaller, e.g. 7/{ to 7/.

Shouldn't the RGB modifiers be all caps, too?
A 6u spacebar like the one you have on your brownfox could be useful to some people.

Yeah, they look pad-printed. But they must be laquered, so that the lettering on the very shiny caps remains intact. Also they sink in water, but maybe that test is not reliable.

I would like to build a custom Alps keyboard, too! I think, I've seen jdcarpe planning a Alps TKL groupbuy over at geekhack, let's see, how that goes. I'd love to have a TKL or even smaller Alps-based keyboard. I don't know how Matias switches feel, they should be technically the same as simplified ...

Aquarius CSK-2102 - White ALPS

Hello, I'm kinda new here, I was lurking and reading quietly for quite a while now but I never introduced my self. So let's do that first, before I show you the keyboard from the title. I'm currently studying Engineering in Germany. About a year ago I bought my first mechanical keyboard, a Tesoro Du...

Maybe its a little late for suggestions, but how about something like this: KeyboardLayoutShiftedArrows.PNG This way its not as wide as with integrated arrow keys and you could easily use some old Alps keycaps with it. Its not exactly easy to find a 1.75u Shift key for Alps. I would like it for Cher...

It would be easier to totally cut the lines to the Caps Lock switch and connect the MX Lock Switch to the Shift switch with some short wires. This way the normal Shift key stays pressed, if you lock the caps lock. Unfortunately you don't get an LED signal, then. And you can't temporarily unlock caps...
