Re: XT to PS/2 Converter for Model F

Sonic08,
What's model number of your "Model F XT"?
Its waveforms seems to be different from other IBM XT keyboards. The data line is pulled down to low when idle on IBM XT keyboards. Just curious.

You can use your "IBM Model M 1390120" your profile are refering to test the converter hardware and its cable connection at least?

Re: XT to PS/2 Converter for Model F

AT waveform itself looks ok now. But the AT signal for 'K' is actually '6B'(Keypad 4), I think you got '4' or Left(depending on NumLock state) on computer press 'K' on the XT keyboard. This indicates the converter misread XT signal for 'K', to be exact, it fails to read data on the first clock falli...

Re: XT to PS/2 Converter for Model F

Can you share model number of your "old XT mechanical keyboard"? That XT waveforms seem to be ok and clock is a bit faster than genuine IBM XT keyboard, but it won't be problem. I think the waveform of "At the output of the Converter" shows 'AA' from converter(emulating AT keyobard), 'ED' command fr...

Re: TMK IBM PC Keyboard Converter

frogmaster, Interesting. I understand how the numpad part is configured now. Added the keys to keymap editor. It should make easier to remap hidden keys of IBM AT keyboard. Can you try this? You can load your existent firmware file at "Base Firmware File:" section and the editor should display your ...

frogmaster, Oh, AT keyboard. I assumed your keyboard is XT becasue you refered process_cs1. I didn't realize missing keys on AT editor but I'll add them. The misssing keys are 39 and 68 in scan code? Well for start, EXTRA_INSERT (0xb6) is missing from numpad (should be left of NUMPAD 0). What is the button i should select on the editor? I think if you do some trial and error on Keymap Editor you will know how to use it somehow.
What's your problem actually?

That remap looks to me really straight, though, I don't know much about how Soarer's remap setting works. You may need to explain me what you want.

Great work! It works perfectly with my HP 98203C keyboard, it seems to use its device specific 'Keycode Set 2' like below. Re: TMK keyboard firmware collection

You can use the decorders of course, it would be easy to write code to use them if you can track traces of the pcb and find datasheet of the decorders. But I can't say about how to implement universal feature supports various decorders used on every keyobard but it would be certainly helpful to othe...

Redmaus, Thanks for the test! and good to know it works with the keyobard. As for Wyse, this doesn't support Wyse proprietary protocol. Yes, one for Caps and other for Bluetooh status for Hybrid. I believe that top half assembly is common for both Classic and Hybrid model, though I don't look into Hybrid yet. You are refering this? I got this board from Yahoo! auction Japan. ZedTheMan , Yes, reset button would be a must-have when in trouble. I don't recommend to use converter without reset button like orihalcon's for now at least. To use Teensy or Pro Micro is fine and safe. If the firmware recognize your keyboard correctly you can put it into bootloader mode by holding...
