User deletion is easy enough. There's a button for it in phpBB, and one or two DT users have indeed requested it over the years. It's probably the only practical way for an amateur community like us to fulfil your data privacy request.

quick update. the import tools I had for phpbb>nodebb failed so I would have to build an import script. While it's relatively easy and nodebb provides decent API/hooks , I don't have the time or stamina to do it. A few people gave their availability but I haven't heard from them with actual code yet...

I applied a big update to phpbb, everything seems to be working but I'm noticing a few glitches here and there. Miraculously the wiki seems to be still working. If you see any issue please report.

One thing that could really cut down the spam accounts is to first introduce yourself in a forum post with actual info before you can post and comment. Something like how you started the hobby, what your favourite or current keyboard is, if you see Topre switches as the best keyboard in the world or...

I've always felt like "foes" was the wrong name for it, but basically anyone in your foes list will have their posts obscured and you have to click "show post" to see it. As far as I know it is a standard phpbb feature.

I'd venture a guess that nothing with phpBB would be affecting the wiki, as that's a separate software package (MediaWiki).

I upgraded to the latest phpbb. Please report any issue.

phpbb doesn't offer that feature, there's a plugin that can do that but it's not updated since 2009. phpbb team in 2017 said that they are going to add that feature.

so the only alternative would be to code it... and maintain it.

I liked the PM search too, but phpbb simply doesn't have that feature and the plugins to do that are either outdated or a mess (or both).
