I will agree that it's mild in comparison to some of the boards that were posted in this thread, but it's still pretty hideous. I'd assume Micro USB. The xwhatsit in my F107 uses Micro USB.

It's my understanding that the F77 just uses an xwhatsit so a micro USB cable will work just fine.

WRT timelines, I've long since stopped caring about that when it comes to this project. The keyboards are done when they're done, and I appreciate that and Ellipse's attention to detail. Quite frankly, given how long time has passed since I bought in, I couldn't care less if I got my F62 this year ...

Ha, that was my SSK before I sold it. If I like my F77 I'll probably place an order for an F62 in the second round so I can complete my 4704 collection. Not interested in the F50 so that doesn't count IMO.

Fastest I've clicked on a video. Very cool board and maybe the only one I'd use 60% for.

I would just hate to see anything Model F related associated with inferior quality. There's plenty of cheap Model Fs out there (they also don't skimp on build quality), but the 4704 is special and shouldn't be made "cheaper."

It seems a little bit disrespectful, in my opinion, to try to go behind somebody's back after they clearly stated their intentions. I've seen (through all the updates) how meticulous Ellipse is with this project. $400 for this keyboard is more than reasonable and I personally would hate to see a bun...

Not sure about wheelwriters, but it was probably those goddamn rivets that come off M keyboards are what are causing less tactility. I'm not convinced. I've had several Ms with varying amounts of rivets and they more or less all felt the same. I don't think the rivets matter to an extent, obviously...

Great news for me. I've been waiting on this to start my F107 restoration.

It's my understanding that APL has a very steep learning curve, but allows more code to be written using fewer lines of code. I'm only familiar with Java though, so take my word with a grain of salt.

I don't think $30 is a "first class quality price" for a full PBT dyesub keyset. Yes there's quality issues but their support is pretty good at getting you replacement caps should there be any issues.

It's easy to mod an F107, F122, F104, F AT to a modern layout and the Ellipse Fs will also have a modern layout. I use an XT every day and the layout doesn't bother me one bit. I wouldn't discount them entirely.
