I am especially interested as to what will happen to the prices when this becomes a reality:

It's ridiculous... Last week I was like "why do I have to keep buying keyboard stuff???" This week I just keep telling myself it's ok because every keyboard item I ever bought was under 100€. Only 2 were over 50€. Still, it's a lot of stuff. I could easily calculate the total I have spent on keyboar...

Why not make the whole marketplace members-only then?kbdfr wrote: ↑ And I am quite sure many readers of this thread are not even DT members, but just external readers.
It's customary in most forums.
PS: on topic: that french model M looks quite disgusting

I personally don't mind the double posts and think it is okay for a thread like this. It's not a discussion thread where you lose track of a discussion when people keep doubleposting (yes I know I am contradicting myself here by discussing). Rather in my eyes it is a collection of links for people t...

I wonder why they went insolventz. They just went full Insolventz. You never go full Insolventz. Clearly they were lacking a Duden. 99€ starting price for 4 G80-1501? That's quite steep... 25EUR is steep for an awesome NKRO G80-1XXX with doubleshots? Sure, it's common, but it's still a great board!...

Wow, now I'm already being thanked in this thread. It's not like that stuff is hidden. True, but not all of us find the time and leisure to scour eBay every day of the week. There is some weird stuff there to sort through, such as this: http://www.ebay.de/itm/VINTAGE-AT-XT-MECHANISCHE-KEYBOARD-TAST...

Personally I just think it would get very slippery if you have sweaty fingers. Like Filco caps, you mean? I dunno, I never tried them. But as it appears to be made of smooth metal I would think so. The ABS caps on my CM Storm are kinda slippery for example. So are the POM keys on my Black G80-1800....

The temperature will keep your fingers on their toes I see what you did there 8-) Personally I just think it would get very slippery if you have sweaty fingers. It looks cool but I wouldn't get them, if they are 70$ they will probably be sold for 70€ not 50€ in Europe. And I really don't want to kn...

Unfired clay will dry out however and start to crumble... I think it's safe to say we do not want pieces of dried clay inside our keyboard switches  Hot glue perhaps? Not undoable but cheap and dosage should be easy... Plus it would assume whatever shape your keycaps have so it should be pret...

Yes, MX-Blacks and thin lasered PBT caps. Or, POM with white infills on the black version. I think both kinds of caps are decent (PBT a little better) but the lettering on both are bad. Lasered looks crap from the beginning, infills look like crap after a few months. To me blacks are cool though, i...

Alternative method: Step 1: Get a pen, like the Bic pen in the picture. Step 2: Open the rear end. Step 3: Burn the rear end. Use a lighter or something. Don't burn it too much. The plastic needs to get weak. Step 4: Put the rear end in one of a Model M's screw holes so it fits over one of the bolt...

Thanks for the replies guys. I passed on the first one, and with good reason - it was sold for 57€... I'm looking at another one right now, looks pretty yellowed but I would retr0bright the hell out of it. The cable is on the picture so I'm pretty sure that's included. Thankfully, the seller did not...

What would you say a regular Model M (white label) in German ISO is worth? Seller says the condition is good, and fully working, but used, and in need of a cleaning. I'm asking not because I have one, but because I am bidding on one on eBay and don't want to pay too much. Or does anyone have a QWERT...

What do you guys think my Zowie Celeritas is worth these days? QWERTZ Layout, it's less than a year old. I got it from Amazon Warehouse as a B-Stock, though it wasn't damaged. The WASD keys were slightly discolored and I think I would need to treat them with rubbing alcohol again before selling it...

You are right, it's essentially the same, my thinking was kind of backwards. Anyways, I just got out one of the PS2 boards and it worked, but feels a lot less smooth than the USB one does. The enter key showed the same issue as the "E" key on my other 1800. I am surprised to see that some keys seem ...

The thing is, shipment doesn't take place until september. And at 56€, you might as well get an MX-Board (60€ shipped in Germany), get it immediately, and have a spare keyboard to boot. The only thing you will save is the labor of taking all the caps off. You still have to take apart the switch itse...

Hhhm... I'm unsure now. Back home, using the quickfire TK again, it feels good, decently well built and all, but typing all day on the blacks gives me lotsa mistypes on the reds. Probably if I were to type on the reds for an hour or so it would go away, but who has time for that? I will get the Zowi...

mini-review: Cherry MX-Board 3.0 / Zowie Celeritas / CM QTK
PT 1: Zowie Okay now. The Celeritas got here alright. It is a really good deal, like new condition, but so much cheaper than new. Comparing it to the Quickfire TK, it is excellently built. Heavy, stable, sleek. The keycaps are much thicker and rougher in texture which is pleasant. The printing is o...
