I like the Patriot one the most - it looks like a WY60, which is a beast of a board, but subtly different.

I was looking on Polish sites :) They were the equivalent of ~50-100 EUR at the time, which I'm sure is a reasonable price in absolute terms but too much for a curiosity for me (since I'm trying to cut down on stuff I don't/won't use).

Man, this thread is wild. Cool keyboard though! I saw a similar one on a bidding site recently but it ended up too expensive for me.

Sorry for going off topic by talking about keyboards - silly me.

Looks good! How will the Leonardo fit in? Will you just wire it up and leave it somewhere in the case, or do you plan to attach it to the PCB somehow?

I got some clones from aliexpress because shipping from the USA was a nightmare. Some worked, some didn't. If you're just making converters, why not use cheaper boards like Pro Micros? It should save you a lot. Someone posted a load of interesting 32u4-based boards on my Soarer Converter Pro Micro t...

To be fair, if they are going for an *entry-level* wireless mechanical keyboard, then yes - cost is the key. Saving $3 or $5 on a $32 keyboard is still a sizeable chunk of the overall cost. They explicitly say in the OP that they're competing with $15 membrane keyboards; in that context maybe their ...

Honestly, even with clone switches this seems like a great deal at 32 USD. I'd use this for my media center. Do you have any plans to release this in Europe directly?

I said the same on Telegram, but can say it again here - your device is not in the bootloader by the time you run that command. Maybe try to run it in a loop while you short the pins. You have seconds between the device appearing and disappearing. while true; do sudo avrdude blah blah; sleep 2; done...

Murkans probably won't be paying VAT on the set either so if I had to choose, I'd get it shipped from the US too, unless CandyKeys allow you to pay without VAT included if buying outside the EU.

Does any current company have the molds for a left-hand side big-ass enter???

Kailh's response is quite scummy, trying to shift the blame off of themselves to anyone else.

I applaud NovelKeys' transparency here though, they are really doing a great job.
