Re: Unpopular opinions thread

Blue Alps feel like a tactile switch with a clicker. White Alps feel more like a proper clicky switch. Plate spring and buckling spring switches wipe the floor with any clicky Alps in terms of sound and feel anyway. since this is an unpopular opinions thread i might as well say that i think bucklin...

Re: Leaf80 - Bolt modded Alps Plate Spring TKL

Can you part the floppy drive to me if you decide to use the P70 as a parts machine? Thanks! Unfortunately I do not have the floppy drive, only the keyboard module from the P70. I would be more than happy to grab the floppy if I'm ever let back in to Computer Reset. That make sense. Thanks anyway. ...

Holy crap, this is one of the coolest builds Iv'e seen as of late. I actually have a P70, but its in horrible condition but the switches still work and 5 are missing from the board. A TKL would be perfect for what I have. Would there be any way to buy all these in a kit or would I have to do the sa...

My IBM 3178 C2 "Blue switch" arrived today. I'd like to keep this board as original as possible and don't want to replace the controller with a CY8C-059 controller, at least not as of yet. I've seen references to a converter which appears to be a promicro based controller. The maintenance guide for...

Re: Wanted: IBM Portable Personal Computer 5155 Keyboard

I know the keyboard is internally identical to a standard XT Model F so it should have the same internal connector, then it has a coiled section that sort of sits in a try at the top of the keyboard, and then something like 8-10" I'd guess of straight with something like an rj11 plug at the end. I ...

When you secure the clips with tape or foam to keep the rattling down the spacebar is much less loud. i spotted that too. How...
