What's the full weight of the case without switches or keycaps? Or without the whole plate assembly?

edit: I'm mostly interested in comparing the weight to other cases I have, like tray-mounts and such.

That's really cool! I considered doing something similar, but with a bigger form-factor keyboard. How is the joystick to use? Is it a competent pointing device? Btw - I think the clearance between keys should be 19.05mm. Don't remember specifically. But there are online plate builders that do a bett...

Ouch. That's a pain. I'd forgotten about that. Maybe we can tempt you with an all bent aluminium custom case that can house standard PCBs instead? When is a keyboard still a keyboard? I’ve no purpose in buying another MX board. Indeed, I’d rather just shift these parts. Replacing the lot of them wi...

It's funny how you managed to take all of those rare and interesting parts (SKCL brown, Alps DSA Granite, etc) and when all put together it almost looks like a stock board with a keycap swap. :D

Nice build!

Mu, you can get 60% PCBs off of aliexpress for pennies these days - I can recommend the XD60. It's a big step up from hand-wiring!

You've been away for a while Mu! There are plenty of Chinese shops with some great stuff for cheap nowadays. KPRepublic is one of the better ones. I bought alpha sets of their Russian and Japanese caps and they are pretty fantastic for the price. $30 shipped for a standard Filco TKL, or pay about $6...

Looks like a standard DIN5 - might be XT protocol? You should try to build the Soarer's converter that Mu mentioned. If it's XT, it'll work right away with it.

I can't help but notice that these seem pretty expensive -- especially vs. eg the bags that are sold along with the TX60s from Kin25, which sell for $45, and are really sturdy with foam.

If the prices are the same, then it's still a great deal for lots of smooth MX blacks and good UK doubleshots. But the seller seems to have pretty much unlimited stock. :D Good for everyone. I guess it's worth more parted out /in theory/ but you'll have a hard time selling UK caps to people outside of the UK -- all of which can just just buy them on eBay. :D The switches on those are really nice though, they clean up really well.

Your diodes are pointing upwards - wires should go vertically and diodes should go horizontally. Use jumper wires to wire from the end of a diode to the next one.

It has 2KRO so I would be surprised if it was worth more complete. Not sure though.

I don't know why someone would buy it higher than the eBay listing price though, aren't they still in stock?

Looks pretty bad. If there's a plate included, it's not even attached to the case. It's like an upside-down TX60. Not at all a fan.

Same as Wodan here - was clueless about the PHP stuff. It’s hard to be enthusiastic about an ancient PHP monolith, I guess.

Maybe one of the trendy new forum softwares would work better, as Wodan said. But it’s not really for me to decide. I don’t have the time to volunteer.
