I don't follow the strict guidelines of each finger belongs to a particular set of keys but I do avoid moving my hands as much as possible. I'd say I type about 40% with my left hand and 60% with my right, but I think that that's more a function of having the navigation cluster on the right side of ...

Beige Sharp X1 Keyboard (Alps SKCL Green)

Hi all, I'm considering selling my Sharp X1. These are relatively rare compared to their newer cousins, the Sharp X68000 series. It is in very good condition, very little dust and grime under the keys and not very much yellowing considering its age. It has Alps SKCL Green and Compact Green switches ...

Considering Tai-Hao is well known for their keyboard business, I have my doubts that these switches were designed for anything but. On the other hand, these seem to have mostly been found in low use environments (like server rooms) so longevity probably wasn't as high of a priority. If these really ...

Basically anything made after the 90s by Maxi switch is rubber dome of some kind. Maxi Switch actually made... Maxi switches before that but I've heard that they are nothing special.

Many gamers cut bluetooth out of their custom builds as a cost cutting measure. That $15 for a high quality adapter is $15 that can be spent on a better case (or whatever else). Same goes for disk drive, etc. I have bluetooth on my custom PC but I also have a $2000 build when you consider original p...

It would only theoretically work with first gen box switches too, something to consider. Feel free to keep that offer and just message me in the future if you decide you want one (or a few).

I don't really mind, and I really quite like the old Win95 era logo (although not very common on new keysets). Given the choice I'd prefer just a CODE, META, diamond, or whatever else but I'm fine with Windows being there too.

In most cases I will at least replace the old switches with newer versions except for the extremely common boards like WYSEs. Both Cherry and Alps clones are readily available these days.

I can push back on almost every contrary point that has been made. I'm only 24 so if I give off an "old man vibe" then that must be related to the fact that I don't typically find memes funny, especially keyboard related memes. I'm a member of the three major English communities too, every place has...

The thing is, most people don't really care about wireless because your keyboard does not move much. Bluetooth matters because it allows connections to other devices like phones, tablets, and more.

I love the old favorite sites of mine that were acquired and subsequently ruined by marketing companies (overclock.net). Nothing but thinly veiled attempts to sell crap and full of ads (not that it matters since I block ads anyways).

Since eBay charges you fees on shipping anyways* I don't see why everything isn't "free shipping" and then the shipping is just automatically added into the cost of the item. * eBay charges fees on shipping now because people many, many years ago used to list items for $0.01 and then have $350 shipp...
