You owe it to your fingers to try a Model F. As for lifespan, the F is rated for 100,000,000 keypresses which is more than plenty imo. Thats why I need one  Model M? Its for plebs! (using it now its good), Beamspring? Too big! Model F? Perfect. Getting one in Slovenia is quite tricky tho :P I ...

I'm not a fan of LinusTechTips but it might make sense to send him a review unit for all the publicity. On the other hand I feel like his audience might not appreciate something as nice as a Model F because it's not "gamer" enough.

The very first one-piece keys just came out of the new injection molds! Here is a video of the injection mold in action! Everything is so automated. All other keys also finished; will post photos later this week. I will receive the samples from the factory later this month for evaluation. Had no id...

Dunno what your budget is but since you're looking for something quiet and tactile I would go for a Topre board. Maybe a Realforce 87U. I would avoid MX switches because in my opinion they don't really do anything well.

It's not cheap, but certainly not extortionate. For NOS vintage switches that aren't otherwise easy to get hold of I'd say it's pretty decent. Is there a similar way of buying solenoids? Solenoids are pretty standard components, and all they do is jackhammer against the case. Technically you could ...

To be completely honest I don't think the layout is what would bother me on a Beamspring board as much as the height. I think the feet on my XT raise it up too high so I don't bother with them. I don't think I could really deal with the height on a Beamspring board on a daily basis. Still really wan...

That's what I've been telling myself. Beam spring boards are a novelty that you can't really use on a daily basis. I don't need one. My wallet doesn't need to go through this.
