Re: KeyTronic KB-200

I love Apple picking in the fall. I just got one of these :D Notice a couple differences from the marketing photo such as the nav keys and the wider stepped keys. Edit: Pretty sure now that the Apple badge in place of the Keytronic badge was lifted from an Apple IIe. The Apple pin in the center I be...

Re: Aftermarket Apple II/II+ Keyboard / Unknown Cherry Keyboard?

I Googled "mbm2716" that's Fujitsu. "8152 857" just specifies more Fujitsu. "8034EV 350m chip" came up with "Top 100 movies with real sex scenes" so that's probably wrong. "AMI" is a BIOS creator, although I don't know if this is the same one. "026-0884" comes up with an autographed floppy disk fro...

Aftermarket Apple II/II+ Keyboard / Unknown Cherry Keyboard?

This classy piece of furniture featuring a solid oak case and industrial themed textured two-tone paint job arrived in the mail today. As best as I can figure this is some sort of aftermarket Apple II/II+ extended external keyboard featuring Cherry solid state capacitive switches. Looking at the dat...

Re: Great/Interesting Finds

Since when have these things become so expensive  It seems ludicrous. Is it just two people that suddenly decided they wanted MS boards, no matter the cost, making the price skyrocket? This also recently went for 1k USD, which also confuses me. I didn't even get a bid in for that Micro Switc...

spamming would make them work consistently. This was all I needed to do on was of my boards! I had < 10 keys that would not register. Out of frustration I spammed one a few times in quick succession. To my surprise it worked. I tried it on the other with similar success. One key was extra stubborn ...

Don't forget about the Alps Kanji monster with 542 keys at a staggering 11.92 kg. There are rumors of even larger keyboards from long ago in the age of dinosaurs.

Rats! I thought I had the exact board you needed but now that I have it in my hands it is not the exact board. I'm glad I dug it out regardless as I was able to reunite a missing key and spring which were in my box of orphaned key caps and other misc. I have one of these that I would sell. However it is not in the best condition. It is yellowed slightly and a couple keys have damage (cosmetic). Let me get back with you later with some pictures.

Re: [WTB/WTT} IBM Model F Unsaver keyboard

I want one because I lack desk space, I never use my numpad, and because I like how it looks. I've already got myself an FSSK in an endgame configuration, but it just doesn't scratch the itch. The downside is that the F122 and F104 are too heavy for their own good. The plastic is now brittle and it...

Just a small handful of finds in 2021. Hard to say which is the coolest. For overall vintage keyboard aesthetics I think this Honeywell in a custom wood case is pretty cool. This is my super secret wax lube for bicycle chains. I'll call it JP!'s Super Secret Wax Mod. No need to melt any wax. Just apply a thin layer to specific areas as needed, and wait 24 hours for the stuff to air dry. I believe this stuff uses alcohol as a carrier which then evaporates so not sure of ...
