Re: CommonSense quick-start / noob's guide

Leave it alone, unless you really know what you're doing. You can permanently damage GPIOs if you fuck up here. DO NO...

Re: I (and my wife!) am (are) willing to reduce my collection II

Just wanted to point out that the switches in these: "SHARP MZ-1K04, Unknown oval alps switch, German layout caps " are Alps SKFL. https://deskthority.net/wiki/Alps_SKFL_series ah ok, great! thanks! so they where the switches used in the glorious Roland 909? Wow...then they must be built to last fo...

Re: Toshiba-branded Alps Bigfoot keyboard with red + clicky Alps switches

Come on it's not a hoax, I was at the meetup and know the owner.. Really unlikely.. and I examined and typed on that board.. Actually I did not find the switches interesting because unfortunately they where really sticky and dirty, but it might be worth it to desolder them and ultrasonic clean them....

Re: XT/AT/PS2/Terminal to USB Converter with NKRO

I would also prefer tmk as a converter nowadays.. to be honest, some features like space-fn implementation are imprescindible for me now.. Also if we could somehow "standardize" the way to define a keymap/layout it would be actually a great thing: immagine to be able to load layouts on any tmk/qmk, ...

Re: Best mouse in case of tennis elbow

A trackball like the kensington expert mouse is quite big and I believe she would only move fingers on it and not the rest of the arm.. also a contour mouse could be beneficial since she would use it with the thumbs, below the spacebar, actually then not even needing to move the arm from keyboard to...

Re: (Model MF) Remodeling the Model M (aka.. the Mara)

I'm understanding from DMA that the pinout seems to be pretty standard, something like: Model Fs: 2 pins GND, 8 pins ROWS, 2 pins GND, 16 pins COLS, 2 pins GND (totalling 30 pins) Beamsprings: 1 pin GND, 24 pins COLS, 1 ping GND, 4 pins ROWS (totalling 30 pins) But maybe some expert can point out on...
