Show support and convince others? Make unsupported claims and let others correct you? It might or might not work.

@kbdfr: what do you suggest the DTA team should do at this point? My suggestion would be: if he wins, be consequent and embrace it, give him the award for his merits on building and maintaining the subreddit and its "wiki" in the years after the ban, lift his ban on DT, and see where this gets us an...

Yes, as Mu said (Hi there Mu, nice to see you here!), mine worked without a problem with a standard Model M controller. It's a 1392980, too, and it definitely has a standard matrix.

Now it's running with a Teensy++ with TMK / Bluetooth, so I looked at the matrix pretty closely...

Ordered.

How long will it be open?

I have a few German 5251s left from the Dresden source if someone's still looking for a relatively cheap beamspring board that takes some work. :) I will post in the marketplace in the next days.

002's principle of only voting for what you have used yourself is a very sane one, I'm adhering to it, too, and probably many voters do. Which makes it hard for blue Alps or beamsprings.

It's a hype circle unfortunately. I don't know what's great about stock MX Clears, for me they are only good after you change the springs.

MX Browns on the other hand were bashed by Mu for years on DT ...

Good choice! I'm a developer, too, and MX browns are my favorite MX switch for work. They are almost linear, with a very subtle but sufficient tactility, and the lttle force that you need makes them less loud than other mechanical switches once you get used to them.

I agree about the probable awesomeness of the hall effect keyboard, but if we award them, imo this innovation wingnut should go to the company ACE PAD TECH who makes them, not to the first westerner who 'discovered' them, which seems a bit 14th century. I know - I should have nominated them.

I didn't want to offend you, I just didn't understand your first answer to me. Of course I know that we don't have a modern Hall effect controller yet! I'd like to nominate the "Freewrite" mechanical keyboard-based writing machine . It's a writing tool for typewriter nostalgics so reduced that it doesn't even need cursor keys. Hey, this was probably considered totally rad back in the 80s/early nineties! Watch a few Amiga demos ... I remember how we all learned how to airbrush back then in summer camp and made unbelievably ugly stuff...
