Re: Keycaps: UK ISO Cyrillic a thing?
UK ISO caps with Cyrillic stickers on the front of the caps maybe? Or grab a set of white caps and use a nice pen to hand draw the legends on the front?
Re: Tipro (MX blacks), Free G81 parts + more!
I'm interesteed in one Digipro. Which connection do they have? They have a PS/2 port however you will need to use a 32 bit OS/virtual box if you want to reprogram the keyboard over PS/2 (I think?) Ok. Thanks. To program a Tipro over PS/2 requires a 32 bit OS,virtual machines will not work, see https...

Re: IDENTIFY THE KEYSWITCH thread
a view from the top would make it easier to identify, but considering the japanese keyboard, I'd expect Alps SKBM White thanks for the reply. I will take a more detailed photo when it arrives. As far as keyboards here go, it was on the less expensive side (under $50) and looked very clean $50 for a...

A proper large split ortho should include a center Numpad- http://i.imgur.com/rIqp9ar.jpg?1 All the keys of a full size, but in a nice compact ortho layout,if you need insert/delete/etc they are on the Numpad where they belong. This a pair of BFO-9000 PCBs? Those came out (or, more precisely, I lear...

Re: Post a picture of your ideal keyboard layout!
One thing, though: that 1U Alt and the "offset" split space bar strike me as needing a do-over. I'm sure you're right. At this point I'm just throwing stuff around and see what sticks ... the idea was to have a fully symmetrical 22x6 matrix, with a mount (if not a switch) at every intersection. Giv...

Can anyone estimate age of these Tipro terminal keyboards, I am wondering are these vintage cherry blacks or not? By far the ugliest board I've seen, but I do love that the owner uses it,the notches on the keys for the Numpad layer are a very nice touch.

Re: Does Your Ideal Mouse Exist?
My perfect mouse would be the Logitech G502 with the G600's 12 side buttons. I am in awe of those who can navigate more than two side buttons on a mouse! I play a lot of World of Warcraft,so I've had a lot of time to adapt, makes gaming so much easier with the bulk of your abilities under your thumb.

Cool build! That cable is awesome, I hope you have a matching one for the usb. I didn't find a matching one, instead, I'm waiting for a black sleeved 90 degr magnetic cable form china. The Pro Micro micro-usb connector is too weak for normal use. I already broke one. :) That's why I put a drop of e...

This is probably it: http://builder.swillkb.com/
There is a lot of discussion about it on geekhack.
I never used it myself.
I used it to design the top plates for my BFO-9000,it's pretty easy to use.

So, and this isn't an insult. Why don't you make this keyboard and then tell us why you feel its better? Oh, I certainly want to! See my comment above about being obsessed with actually building a keyboard and how I'll be doing a 75% if all goes well. I am more of a software than a hardware guy, an...

Re: How about splitting the space bar, with equal-sized symmetrical halves?
Ok, but then what? There's not much point to split the space bar if both keys will produce the same characters. Typically, the left space bar is remapped to be Backspace. Others have taken a liking to putting Tab there. What would I do? Me being me, I press the space bar with my left thumb exceedin...

For my RC128BM it was hitting S,D,and either of the 2 switches under Space with this layout-https://imgur.com/KGEcHTu ,I could trigger the beeping with that pattern any where on the bottom 3 rows,it used to drive me nuts how often I'd get the beeeeep when I'd try to hit a combination of keys.

I've seen some one drill a very shallow hole in the keycap, then place a ball bearing on the hole and use a soldering iron to heat the ball till melts into the hole, looked really nice as well, pretty sure you should test that on some keycaps you don't care about before you try it on the ones that came...
