If you slowly press those dead keys, does the spring action feel "normal" and are you sure you can hear the flipper change position? It might be worth it to unplug the keyboard and try to insert they keycap again so that the spring is properly seated. To do so, hold the keyboard vertically on your l...

(1) Case ground and circut ground WILL be the same thing for a keyboard, (2) you dont want your keyboard referanced to mains earth Are you sure? What turned out to be the issue with my voltage problem is that the din 5 connector I was using didn't have the sleeve connected to Gnd on the microcontroller. I presumed that you only needed to hook up the Vcc, Gnd, Data, Clock and didn't take into account the Case Gnd that comes through the din 5...

There is Reddit and a number of different channels on Discord but those are not proper forum platforms. I wonder if someone will start a GeekHack2 domain. The heathens must be initiated :evilgeek: Somebody on Reddit /MK was claiming that they own geekhack.eu . What could possibly go wrong?

First of all, did you take the XT apart and are you sure it's properly reassembled? I have read reports in the past of people testing it outside of the case or with the screw between controller and backplate missing which caused problems like these. Are you sure that all keycaps were properly snappe...

It looks like this thing has only two wires coming out of it? Somebody else will have to chime in but it won't be standard PS/2, so a simple converter is ruled out. Soarer's Keyboard Controller firmware for ATMega32U4 designs / GH60
I've been a fan of Soarer converters for years, all of my favorite keyboards have one. A month ago I received the parts for a GH60 (which I actually ordered years ago). My hope was to flash it with Soarer's Keyboard Controller firmware but it went haywire, and Soarer is no longer active to help debu...
