It may be worthwhile to ask Unicomp if you can buy a new barrel assembly and install it yourself. It will be cheaper than having them repair it and it isn't a difficult operation.

I've done a few screw mods. When done correctly it can be very sturdy, but probably not as strong as a bolt mod. It's my go-to repair for a barrel assembly that's missing some rivets.
