Beamspring font
If you want to have at least a tiny part of the Beamspring experience, I have something for you. With the help of some folk at Reddit I found the modern remake of the font used on IBM caps (known as Leroy Lettering). If you want to use it on your modern PC here's the digitial remade version: https:/...

Things like this make me want to archive the entire DT forum. Kinda incredibly how much effort this community undergoes to preserve/rediscover all of this stuff :)

Re: [WTS] [EU-AT] Everything in my collection
I would possibly be interested in the Fujitsu Mag Reed, Pingmaster, and Kawasaki, in that order. Unfortunately my Tandy 3000 arrived in scratchy shape but FLS is intriguing as a Green Alps lover. Sure, please send me a PM. There's already someone interested in Fujitsu Mag Reed and the Pingmaster, b...

For a couple of days I dreamt to get this Honeywell for a handful of €€.... Then reality woke me up abruptly. Sob Remain the consolation that such a beautiful keeb with perhaps the best switches ever conceived can't be so easily connected to a modern pc. Couldn't it? Screenshot_20220907-141902_eBay...

Been looking for one/both of these boards for quite some time. Layout and switches (green or yellow alps) really don’t matter to me, so if you have one of the two keyboards, just hit me up!

https://i.imgur.com/WCIsV14.png https://i.imgur.com/shfOzs0.png Just my two cents, but maybe the sliding magnet can be moved into the stem to make space for LEDs on both sides of the switch. Having the magnet in the middle of the switch will give a more even tactile feel. The hall sensor can be pla...

Re: B2H reloaded: Dual Magnet Clicky MX style switch
I'm wary of Hall Effect because, as far as I understand, it has many of the same costs as capsense: it's inherently analogue, so it needs a whole different kind of controller. It does let you do fancy stuff like dynamically varying the actuation point, but at cost of complexity and indeed delays. K...

Re: B2H reloaded: Dual Magnet Clicky MX style switch
Does a hall ic sensor with cherry pcb compatibility exist already? Because the good part about the other design is that I wouldn't have to worry too much about manufacturing as all the complex parts are already being made in that exact same way I want them to be. I guess it would be incredibly helpf...

Thanks for the awesome feedback guys! Regarding the switch contacts: I forgot to add them in the animated video. However, I honestly haven't thought about it too much. I wanted to keep it simple which is why I went with the standard mx red contacts. Quite literally you could use the exact same ones ...

The "why": By now some of you might know that I'm a huge fan of Omron's B2H switch Chyros showed in his video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q4Gvj_2TZOI&t=144s). Over the last year I tried finding these switches myself - However, having contacted almost all major Omron HQ around the world multipl...

Re: IDENTIFY THE KEYBOARD thread
Could this be it ? My chance to get a board with green / yellow alps ? is this a: https://deskthority.net/wiki/Zenith_Z-150 ? Most likely green alps, but that’s quite a hefty price if it’s the one from that Kleinanzeigen listing ;) If you get it make sure that the seller packs it properly. Mine bro...
