that's wyse for sure don't remember which specific type though. I have a rebranded one and it doesn't work with the wyseverter but that might just be because the PCB is borked or something

DIN plug is generally a good sign. The caps look most spherical, too, which is also good. I like layout: an enhanced XT. Places it again in the early 80s.

Just bought this one for the fun of it, it cost 10€ and looked pretty interesting.
The model no. is "YKB-201" By Ya Hsin Industrial from Taiwan. Upon googling the FCC-ID the website tells me that it is from '93, I couldn't find any information other than that. Anyone know what it is? Should arrive sometime in February.

That's a Cherry MX clear clone. It's not an Alps-mount switch.

Correct on the MX clone, but alps.tw is a person, not a switch type, and the switches he documented did include some MX clones:

however, with how far apart the numpad is from the alphas I wouldn't be surprised if it was a different module entirely. if it is a different module then there's really no way of knowing what the alphas have. if the price is reasonable for sure get that but you have to post a thread about it when you have it in hand

I noticed it in a lot of vintage keyboards on eBay:

It looks like a Focus keyboard based on the layout, function block label and lock light sticker, but I’m not aware of any Focus boards like this.

That's a subjective memory, because I was already spoiled on Alps when I had one of these thirty-some years ago. I wanted it to feel as good as it looked, but no such luck. The LED legends do look Focus-like, and the FK-1001 had a similar LED arrangement, but I was familiar with Focus at the time and I'm pretty sure this wasn't a Focus product.

Any idea what this is? I get zero hits on Google for DEKU-0224-PHM or DEKU-0224. It came with a VT220 (and the plug is "right"), but I did not try because I don't want to accidentally fry it.

My bet's on a keypunch machine. The styling looks similar to the Juki stuff but it's pretty hard to find good pics of anything from this era.

Well, I know the machine it comes from, but wanted to get some info on the switches. They should be made before 1978, East Germany or something perhaps, since other computers made by that company were later using Cherry M9 for instance.

I can't tell you who made them, but those are magnetic reed switches. The green glass cylinders are the contacts, and there are magnets attached to the sliders which actuate them.

It is selling together with the other keyboard (Chicony). Judging by the 4 leds, it looks similar to the Chicony KB-5191, but the shape is slightly different.

Any thoughts?
