(like... uh... me)
Shiny and beautiful (like my niece): a Varmilo Sakura I bought for her 19th birthday.
I went quite over budget for her new keyboard, but I don't care. I hope she'll appreciate it as much as I expect her to. And if it turns out she doesn't like it, my mother has claimed dibs on it.
Old and trodden (like me): my current daily driver, a 1994 Lexmark Model M (will be very soon rotated over with a battleship, though). And this time, cleaned up before being photographed! Like uncle, like niece. (take two)

Interesting. Be sure to post it if you do go through with it.wobbled wrote: ↑Nice to see it looking nice and clean!
Will you be keeping the SSK? And do you have any plans for it? I'm considering plasti dipping mine
Also I wouldn't have any shame in rocking a pink keyboard like that. Your niece I am sure will cherish this gift for years to come.

This SSK is NOT going anywhere (other than the closet in this very room, that is). I started using it because of the convenience of having the mouse closer to my right hand, something that I may or may not end up missing when I use the battleship; it's a safe bet, then, to think that I may rotate it back frequently (unless I, instead, opt for the OTHER SSK... which will be back in my possession soon, too).wobbled wrote: ↑Nice to see it looking nice and clean!

I won't be plasti-dipping the SSK, though. I just un-dirti-dipped it!

That's what I'm counting on!JP! wrote: ↑Your niece I am sure will cherish this gift for years to come.
She has mentioned several times she wants a pink computer, but that proved to be a bad idea (there ARE pink laptops, but they're all cheap and underpowered). So, instead, we'll be getting her a proper laptop, and I'm getting her this this keyboard (and a pink mouse... actually, a pink! mouse).
I'll call this a complete success if she likes the keyboard best of all.
