By downsizing I will eventually be selling of extra IBM stuff like Model M's and F's and other random things which I lost interest in.

"Check out the keyswitch" jokes aside, there is one thing I want to know, for I don't understand what it is (and I am an ignorant doofus that wants to be... less ignorant but just as doofus):

Spoiler:

That white/cream thing on the switch under the key 11... what is it?

It is a plastic clip that prevents the slider from moving. Keys 10-12 cannot be pressed at all! Other examples of this board look to have either a plastic or metal cover for these keys.

[Update]

I just had a high resolution photo of this board taken. Maybe this will help someone with a bit more knowledge decipher this keyboard or be of use in some way. Some of the finer detailed characters may be hard to read yet but that would be a larger effort to photograph individual keys in full detail.

I think this looks like a better daily driver though:

This has awesome color too though... time for a group buy?

Ok, but here is your actual keyboard, I think:

(interesting that the wrist places are discolored/rusty in exactly the same places as yours)

So it's really from a MK-110? Not sure, because seems same as in the photo you posted of the MK-300. Maybe they didn't need to change the keyboard, only the computer that was taking input from it.

I was hoping to find an instruction manual or something that explained how you would use the right-side and left-side buttons to get to the kanji you needed, but no luck so far. You might ask the owner of this site, as he has quite a lot of paper materials, including a user manual for a 1979 predecessor:
