How do I remove the sliders from FLS3?

Hi guys, i got a cheap FLS3 board and it's cleaned up well so far but I feel like I should remove the sliders from the barrels and clean them. I can't figure out how. Anyone know how? Thanks!

Use wire pullers. They are liable to stick to the keycaps when you pull those, even!

Yeah, weird part is that I tried it and couldn't get them off at all. I pulled so hard I almost cut my fingers on the black plastic barrel and still couldn't get the slider to budge.

I just ultrasoniced them whole. Hopefully I didn't ruin them...although I have to wait for them to dry before I can reassemble and try.

Fujitsu mount is very tight. If you want to pull just the caps, you need to make it so that the wires are just around the edges of the keycap or you'll definitely pull out the slider too.

I found removing the slider being very difficult as well, sometimes causing breakage at the point where the keycap mount is connected to the cylindrical shafts. So instead I ultrasoniced slider while connected to housing, had pretty good results restoring a dirty hp 46020A and a fanuc board

I agree with Noobmaen, it's not worth the trouble with FLS3. There is a bit of space around the slider anyway and you can clean and lube them without disassembly.
This does not apply to FLS2, those are quite easy to disassemble.

Alright, I just cleaned the sliders and barrels as one piece. What lube should I use? I don't have any of the normal switch lubes at home and I would rather not buy it if I don't have to. Can I use some of this "WD40 Specialist White Lithium Grease"?

I used Christolube, which is similar to tribosys if I remember correctly.
I have no idea how the stuff you mentioned will work, but I know that regular WD-40 is not so great for lubing stuff. You might as well try with a few switches and clean them if it doesn't work as good as you hoped.

So I've tried just assembling some with and some without the lube, and they both feel like shit. Lubed feels slightly better but it still feels like there is grit in between the slider and the barrel. How the fuck do I get it out? I am getting super frusterated...I was told that FLS is fairly resistent to dirt and dust but this is worse than any Alps board I have owned (except the Alps were able to be cleaned and then felt fine...).
