I know that the L in Cherry product codes denotes lasered POM or PBT. Does anyone know a way to tell if the keyboard has PBT keycaps? Without having it in front of you, obviously.

You can tell from the last digit of the model number.
-0 = white/grey version = PBT
-2 = black version = POM
Example:
G80-3000 LQCDE-0 = white/grey with German PBTs
-0 = white/grey version = PBT
