Hello,

I've found an error on the HHKB Lite 2 history page but wanted to check before updating it.

wiki/HHKB_Lite

The history of the keyboard says "HHKB Lite2 was announced on March 21, 2001 and was released on April 02, 2001."

However, I have an email receipt for "order pfuca-store-2260" from the Yahoo Store that PFU America using, dated Feb 3, 2001. So, the keyboard must have been announced and released before that date.

The trick about updating the dates is that I don't know the actual announcement and release dates, I just know that they must be on or before the dates I bought it!

Incidentally, I still have that keyboard and it is still is working order. I think I'll sell it. It appears to still be worth used what I paid for it 23 years ago! Great keyboard. I used it actively for about 17 years.

I did a little more research with the Wayback Machine. Wikipedia has the announcement date set to March 15th, 2001 based on this press release:

https://web.archive.org/web/20101012030 ... 674-1.html

The press release doesn't mention a date when it was actually available.

The Wayback Machine doesn't have good coverage of the key URLs in February and March of that year for a more precise date. We can only see that the product wasn't there in December of 2000.

The official HHKB history page also puts the release date in March of 2001:
https://hhkeyboard.us/about/history

It seems that PFU had the device for sale before they officially announced it.

It does happen sometimes that stores get shipments of a product in advance so that they'll have it available at the launch date, but then start selling it before they are supposed to.
Could that have been the case here?
