Why do they remind me a bit of some of the lowest profile Alps switches for laptop applications?
They do look pretty compact, too, so they may well be suitable for narrower pitch layouts.

That's the beauty of PCs, they can come in all sizes.
If your options are to take this thing to a LAN party or your whole machine, I would pick the laptop over my PC since I don't have a car. This isn't meant to be an ultraportable business device.
