Good news everyone! I'm still alive and kicking — I've been exploring other interests while working for Kono Store (which still keeps me involved with keyboards).
We just launched the Hexgears X-1, a rather nice wireless keyboard, for one of our partner brands. It really shines as a mobile input option for people who aren't worried about programmability. You can check it out at the link below. Let me know if you have any questions!

Features:
• Compact, low profile form factor (35.5 x 13 x 1.5 cm, 0.5 kg)
• Hard-sided carrying case
• Kaihua “Choc” low profile mechanical switches (Brown, Red, White)
• RGB lighting with multiple backlight modes
• CNC machined aircraft grade aluminum case
• Wireless: 4 device Bluetooth memory, 6KRO
• Wired: USB Type-C, NKRO
• 1,000 mAh rechargeable battery (uses USB-C port to charge)
• 3 month estimated battery life with lights off (4 - 20 hours with RGB lighting — varies with brightness levels and use case)

Nice to see you back. That's actually an intriguing design, but something I don't think I'd be interested in. How different is the keyfeel from a standard Apple wireless keyboard (that this was obviously designed similar to)?

Hmm. I find nothing about this on Hex Gear's web site.

I lol'd at this kickstarter being used to drive traffic to kono-talk.
But on a serious note, 2 questions.
1. Does it include the carrying case? There doesn't seem to be any mention of it other than the picture.
2. What version of the Kailh switches are these? The PG1350 or the slightly smaller PG1232?
I'm kind of interested for the switches, but the not really a fan of the fn key position.

Is the unit pictured an early prototype? (I ask because, IMNAAHO, the layout has several defficiencies)

For a Prototype, it looks far better than most keyboards being sold in shops.chuckdee wrote: ↑I'm assuming those are prototypes. At least, that's the only thing that makes sense.
Thus far my minions haven't seen this keyboard yet, hence I'm still hoping they'll miss seeing it and avoid harassing me in buying another round of keyboards for them .
