FYI, this has the FR-4 PCB. The IC controller is Cypress.

Is this somehow different from other Archiss/Leopold boards or do they all use FR-4 PCB and Cypress controller?

That I don't know for sure, but I don't believe they all do. I just know the specifics of this particular board because the designer told me.

do reds require a lighter press than all of the other cherry switch types or just black ones?

I would say they are the lightest I know of. Lighter than browns.

awesome, more companies making red versions of their keyboards, hope the price for these is the same as their brown/blue/black versions

neo, thou i cannot reveal which company thatmanufactures. but i can say it's not Datacomp(Taiwan), and Strongman has stop it's business, thou i can't confirm.
