You mentioned the price, and its thin appearance, and that is what's known as the 'Keyboard Style'.
Just like anything that relies upon 'looks' you shall be slugged heavily in the wallet for that style of keyboard. Although it's still better quality than what's used in Laptops these days.
This keyboard, used inside a shell of a laptop, would be the best use for its appearance here.
You've got loads of people whom love the laptop style of keyboards, because it reminds them of their previous notebooks. And they are hardcore lovers of Laptops.
Personally I prefer the thickness of a keyboard, the thicker and heavier makes it supreme on the desktop. Can't be moved easily or stolen in any way. As long as the thieves quit trying, makes the BIGGER keyboards much loved and permanent.
