Yeah, I don't really need it. Time to spread around the Hall effect love. Whoever picks it up, please post photos here!
I'm bringing it home to Raleigh. :)
I will post photos.
Congrats! I will try to get it shipped this afternoon. Xmit is driving down, and he wanted to look at it before it flies away :-)

His keyboard smuggling compartment is well hidden and spacious. It could probably hold several Hall Effect keyboards and a wookie.

Nah, I brought the baby keyboard carrier this time, since I'm bringing a baby keyboard home.

engicoder i'm glad to hear you got the Hall board! It's a nice one with sculpted spherical key caps. If you bug me enough I may be able to get a replacement controller working for it. Being an IBM 3178 one of the existing protocol converters should work for it. (There was one a European guy who made a converter but I can't find the link.)

While we're on the topic - any idea what this Cherry MX clone might be? It is clicky, has a white/clear slider, but is not Cherry. I don't know if it is Aristotle or not.

Also there is a complete NCR G81-3000 SAU here right now. The key caps just went through the ultrasonic cleaner (which is now working). Make elecplus an offer - a good one.

I know the IBM F 122 battleship is very sturdy.., but you don't have to use it as a car bumper to show it off.

Edit: Oh right, that doesn't have the num pad.

That's no F122, that's an Unsaver. It was just the right size to block my license plate.

The Unsaver then went back inside, and traveled safely inside the vehicle to my house.

Update on the Johnson Controls XT:
When you use the Orihalcon cable and an old Linux 10.0.4 laptop, it sees the keyboard, and the strokes, but it just keeps sending the same letter over and over until it finally figures out you hit another letter. Then it does the same thing all over again.
I can't get it to do 1 letter at a time. But at least now it sees the keyboard and the letters!
Will mess with it more tomorrow.

That or its controller is on the fritz. Clickykeyboards didn't have any issues with it.

Yes, that is the AT version. I will work on it tomorrow also. I was working on the XT version this afternoon.

I worked with both of these.

The early Model M will generally work with a Teensy but a normal user would probably want to re-map some of the keys.

The oak switch XT is a magnificent board but wired to a strange protocol. It is not dead, however.

You can activate switches by holding them down for a few seconds, but clearly that is not viable for actual use.

It is one of the nicest keyboards that I have ever held, construction-wise. Far better than an ordinary XT.

Interesting...terminal keyboards with spherical keycaps are rather rare over here...BTW, In fact, I am doing an online shop as well...not launched yet.

Hey I saw the cables that were listed and I wanted to get one but I don't really want to pay $10 more for shipping. Is there any way you could ship them first class usps?

I have added USPS first class and parcel post. The cable will go first class for one cable, but 2 will exceed the 1st class weight limit. The shipping module on this this is not real intelligent. It will let you put a keyboard in a small priority mail box, which it obviously will not fit, so I had to remove a lot of shipping options.

That Industrial M with a metal Johnson Controls logo looked so cool too! Damn, it's also my last name. Would have been so perfect lol...but it's probably for the best - I just ordered two IBM's from you already - my wallet will need a break.

Is there still an IBM logo underneath that big Johnson Controls metal logo plate? It kinda looks like the just stuck it on top of the IBM logo.
