There weren't many British-made switches (the only ones I know of are Alphameric, ITW magnetic valve (US-owned before Devlin bought the tooling), possibly the big MEIs (as Devlin also sold those), and possibly also the rubber band MEIs as some (US?) company reported to me that they got theirs from a company in Britain, before we found out who MEI were) so it's quite normal to see foreign and foreign-owned switches in British computers, e.g. MEI, RAFI, Futaba, SMK. I suspect that some US companies set up production in the UK for cost reduction.
