My current setup at work. I'll have an X230 soon with a proper Linux install (Windows is crap for what my job entails at work...).
The arm rests are perfectly positioned, so my wrists can float while typing or using the trackball.
Still need to raise the monitors a bit (probably should order some books or something ), and it'd be nice to have a 3rd monitor in the middle

Very nice Haata, the uTron look great!
How long have you been using the Utron for now? I'd love to get one but the longevity of the topre switch really puts me off.
What?! You want to make the monitors higher? I tried the same thing with my Dell 2311 and I felt like I was forever looking up at the sky when I wanted to look at the top of the page!!

Constantly I've probably only used the uTron for about 4 months. But it seems to hold up just fine.
Since it's white, it gets dirty easy...
I'm tall, so I'm finding I'm bending my neck to look at the bottom of the screen. I want my eye level at the middle of the monitors.

This is the problem. Having said that, I think that at that price, I'd make myself like it.fossala wrote:I need to borrow someones uTron... Just can't throw that sort of money down without trying first.

So far, I was oblivious to that uTron. But damn, that thing is expensive. And as usual, the Japanese get all the goodies.

I can just reiterate that I tried webwit's and I did not like it very much They're basically doing column layout but with staggered keys and you have to angle the keyboard...what's up with that? Also the keys are very small. I'm not sure if that just takes some getting used to or if it is simply made for people with smaller hands. The tenting is not adjustable either.
These issues are minor of course and I am pretty sure that it is better than regular keyboards but I'd rather go with a Kinesis or Ergodox.

If I don't have proper elbow support, the Kinesis feels nicer, but I find my palms get all sweaty then...
I have large hands, but don't have sausage fingers (i.e. the keys are the right size for my fingers).
I really like the placement of Tab and Enter, as well as the thumb key placement. Also using Shift with your thumbs really lightens the load on your pinkies.
If I don't have proper elbow support, I usually have all the tilt options off as I dislike keyboard tilt at a normal desk, or when using a standing desk.
Regardless, there is a learning curve to the keyboard, and it grows on you (and eventually feels more comfortable than other keyboards).

My new and temporary desk, €45 - that is cheap.
I have also layed my hands on a Filco board, equipped with cherry ds, some random niqmods, a panic key (dunno why) and ducky pbt caps above arrow keys.
I have a german qwertz set on, and I cannot stand the lettering on those caps, will probably buy a us asni set when someone have it for sale and combine the two for maximum satisfaction.

Of course but this was the best PSU I could get for the money and I wanted some overhead in case I decide to upgrade the CPU and GFX later...

I'm sorry but how much what? How much did it cost me?
You should be able to order the case from Germany for less than 100€. It's a Fractal Design Arc.
