yup, I was watching that but I'm not going to get it because I'm being reasonable. Looks great though, especially the metal cabinet for the 'problem determination guide' is a fabulous feature in any spacesaver !

from the description of the first one...:
"A used, working keyboard. No more to say about it actually. If you still have question just write".

... well, correct. At least if you don't want to get bids, or expect something above 0€ anyway.
Jeez, when will people learn that colourful language will boost sales instantly...

Hmm, I could use a albino G80-1501...
Let's hope it will not attract to much attention as you say kint ;)

Sold for $179.50 (not to me however 8-) if someone else here got it)

It wasn't me. I wasn't paying attention. If you see the larger one with APL keycaps, let me know. (...but... don't let anybody else know ;))

Just an old, used, obsolete keyboard. Nothing to worry about.

Might be looking for a German proxy to see if I can lose a bidding war on two of these in a week

can do if needed. Everybody from outside Germany who wants to bid on it should try beforehand (with a small amount), sometimes your bid won't go through because "the seller doesn't ship to your country".

yuck! Watched this for some days, thought of those being PBT caps, but lasered. Only at the very end the seller added "SAT" which I didn't realise. Nice score... :)

stands SA"T" for czech layout? in his description it says "deutsch". maybe he mixed it up with SAD?

User avatar

I meant to mention that. Normally yes, "T" is Czech layout. However on custom boards for big companies the suffix scheme sometimes differs. For example there was this very nice Siemens Nixdorf 1000 with tiny plate on case and all. Had the article number "G80-1129 HBT DE" - german layout of course. Original boards of the same time would have just been HAD or HAT. Would have loved to see if it really has browns - but guess no.
Sitx was holding out for the peacock board once: http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=14562.0
1x G81-3004SAT (Czech Layout, Peacock branded)

but maybe he was just assuming czech layout too? Who knows.

The Peacock branded G81-3004SAT is czech layout indeed, the only board with czech Cherry dyesubs that I know of. Seems ridiculously rare as well, only seen pics from some Koreans till now :/

Looks like this, czech letters in regular black and US english in a nice blue on the front of the caps.

Won't anyway until the seller checked "worldwide" as shipping option, which then means he has to get quotes or rely on ebays faulty calculator. Go for a german proxy who'll bid on it for you. :!:
The first time shipping within Germany (cost 7€) for sure won't be a deal breaker, no ?

I can do that. If you want me to bid for you, just PM me the highest amount you want to bid (considering there will be shipping costs of 6.50€ to me and then of 34€ to the US) and I (or rather my sniping service) will reliably bid a few seconds before the auction ends - provided, of course, there hasn't been a higher bid yet.
No charge involved, of course

anyone who knows what those old "Schneider PC" (PC/XT) Keyboards were switch-wise?
Could go cheap - well until now :D:
http://www.ebay.de/itm/321263856012?ssP ... 1436.l2649

Also:
Dell keyboard:
http://www.ebay.de/itm/321264875477?ssP ... 1436.l2649
Sinclair QL (LK 201 / 401 kind of layout)
http://www.ebay.de/itm/221327709581?ssP ... 1436.l2649
vintage keyboard, but mentions "APPLE" in title so might go high:
http://www.ebay.de/itm/331076045789?ssP ... 1436.l2649

edit:
I've got a pretty similar like the Apple II one which will end in my for sale thread those days...pretty ruined though. :|

Those Peacock keyboards are a steal.

That Schneider looks a hell of a lot like the Commodore PC5. It's too bad German ebay still always has such terrible tiny pictures where you can't see a damn thing.

That Peacock is super nice. That's the kind of thing I wish I could do repros of. I guess ANSI version of it could be possible with BSP.

You've got to temporarily allow ebay.de and it works the same as ebay.com.

Not sure if this is a mechanical keyboard. Maybe someone should find out.

Oh, it's an Amstrad... I seem to remember those having some kind of leaf/spring over membrane type switch. Sort of like MY but much worse feeling.

Nice ... congratz to the person who got it.

If you are an AfD voter and want to get rid of the doubleshot E/€ key, just tell me, I'll happily exchange it for a pure E ... But I guess you aren't. ;)
