You know, if he's gonna charge $17.50 per switch the least he could do is freakin' clean them and not bend the contacts. Those things are filthy and he apparently put lube on top of the dirt right after yanking them out of his "Model M". Maybe the essay he's so kind as to include with the switches will explain why one shouldn't clean their switches. Thank goodness the item specifics indicate they're compatible with CANADA BLUE because I was really starting to worry....
I think it's five pieces for 17.50, but your point still stands. This guy is so weird.

Good catch- updated my original. We are all keyboard heads, so when WE can call someone weird you know it's a pretty serious case...

Yeah, he seems really into blue Alps -- Perhaps
even bordering on a cult-like devotion. (Insert "Hallowed are the Blue Alps!" Ori meme here)

I wonder why he isn't here on DT with the rest of us keyboard nuts? 😉

White whale WITH the actual Display Writer. Sure hope an enthusiast grabs this instead of a keyboard speculator.

Not good for much without the monitor and disk drive. Although I remember seeing a monitor for sale earlier on ebay.

He's aware of DT, and mentions us in his "literature". If he really thinks his "Canada Blues" are as good as blue Alps he's not going to appreciate the real thing. And the horrendous job he did on desoldering the switches from the K104 (pc board and case) I bought from him tells me not to do it the way he's suggesting in that same literature. I didn't complain because I just wanted the case. I'm sure he's a nice guy, just be aware that he's *not* the expert he pretends to be.

Usually shows where and when the device was "born". Allows you to place it in the keyboard family tree ;)

Oops, I read "its" as "it's" and thought for some reason the paper label versions were called "pedigree"

ALPS semi-integrated dome. Worth it for the caps mostly. The seller wanted nearly double the amount back when it was listed first, but since then he continuously lowered the price. Maybe waiting some more time will pay off.

I bought one exactly like this new for £15 a few years ago. This is definitely overpriced. Also if anybody is interested I would be happy to let it go, won't use it after all.

I got 5 GH80-3000 PCBs assembled by JLCPCB and I managed to killed 3 before I realized just attaching the USB C connector was beyond my skills (I can replace SMD diodes though, I promise)

The sturdier 1000 series case (some even have metal bars bolted into them) paired with a conventional layout basically makes it an MX Model M. I'm surprised it didn't have dyesubs, I guess it was either older or up market from the G81-3000 (or just a custom order).

I'll have a complete Cherry fullsize one of these days. Just need to handwire a new controller to my GH80-3000

White on black, MX compatible doubleshot keycaps on an Access-IS point of sale keyboard (but check the profile).

I feel that. I've been keeping an eye out for one, but so many of them have damaged cases.

these are indeed DCS, some of the other POS stuff from Access-IS have cool sublegends. They're thin DCS if that makes a difference to someone

Any hints how to get them white back.
They come from an old genuine 4704 F107 administrative IBM keyboard i'am going to play with.
I washed them with soap with candeggine oxygen. Results are quite opinabile as you can see in the attached pic.
Thanks for answering

Well - hydrogen peroxide would be my first try - testing with a single one first, of course.

Wasn't expecting to learn some Italian today. I looked up candeggine and opinabile and saw the latter was synonymous to debatable or questionable. I wonder if it has a link to the english word opinable, which has a similar but different meaning of: to be able to be made into an opinion.

As far as the caps, there is no good way to get them unyellowed. You might want to try retr0brite if the hydrogen peroxide bath in the sun fails, but honestly, ymmv because the original clear caps can be pretty brittle as it is.
